The Liberation War
In the eyes of a Adawnian
The pain...the sweat in his eyes....the blood running down his back from the whiplashes...the aches in his shoulders from swinging a pickaxe all day long, every day. Apollos was just a young man, at 20 years old, but he already has had to experience labor, and slavery as if he was a criminal.
"Faster", yelled the guard with the whiplash. And he flung that whiplash up onto Apollo's back again...the lash hurting worse that time than it did before. At the end of the day, all the miners returned to the barracks, except for Apollos. When the miners were walking in line out of the mine, a guard grabbed Apollo's right shoulder from behind and said, "your staying here ."
So all night, Apollos worked with, this time, multiple guards around. Apollos was tired for he had 16 hours without sleep, and not to mention the soars on his back made it worse. He just wants to rest his eyes....peacefully...under the moonlight.
"I said faster you oaf!", roars the guard with 3 others behind him laughing at him and mocking at him.
But, this whiplash was different from the other ones. Just how the situation was carried out. Apollos felt as though he was in slow motion, hearing the sound of that whiplash going down to once again, punish the weilder's opponent. He has analyzed the quickness the guard has whipped him and so Apollos has done something a man in the land of Evok that no man, has never done before...and that was he resisted. At the right moment, turned at a 180° angle to face the guard, sidestepped to the left of the terrifying whiplash, and striked him down. The 3 other guards were astonished and mad at the same time. So one at a time they were fighting against Apollos, making him already weaker than he was from the days work. Finally, Apollos bent his knee as one would think he was submitting. Blood was trickling down his nose, pain all over his body, whips that cut into the meat on his back are stinging with fire. Yet his anger drives him.
"You honestly think, that you could best us?" , cried a guard.
"Lets kill this one. He has been a thorn on our side for to long.", suggested another guard.
"First, were going to have some fun.", whispered another guard. With whiplashes in their hand they moved forward, not knowing the anger and resistance within Apollos soul.
Apollos muttered, "I can do this all day long". With that he rose, and charges at them with a battle cry, counterattacking their defense and taking advantage of the whiplashes, he blocked whiplashes, and in the process got it all wrapped around the pickaxe and then Apollos pulled and yanked it ouf their hand. The guards were crying....begging for mercy. Apollos showed no mercy. He went his way to the barracks only to find 2 guards with one having a pistol. So he stealthily assasinated him shot down the other guard with the pistol.
He went inside to wake up the miners, "My brothers you are free now! The guards are dead! Follow me into the wilderness to escape this misery"! And just like that, they rode off into the night
In the eyes of King Hagan Val, ruler of Evok
"But your majesty, this would certainly raise your disapproval ratings as well a-", says a citizen of Evok before being interupted by the King.
"Silence! You fool." , exclaims King Haran. "This is my kingdom, where I rule MY LAND. Who gives you the audacity to tell me how i should rule this country?! You really think I should listen to someone as rubbish as you?! You better be glad that your not in a jail cell at this moment mate."
"But I-"
"Silence!", roars Hagan. "If we will ever are going to become a superpower. If we are ever going to conquer the entire world, we have to have a military, and that has to start with the children. They are the future. Now get out of my court. I have a meeting to attend to."
And just like that, the citizen disappeared from the appearence of the King.
After being entertained by the communication between the King and the citizen, 2 advisors of the King stood before him.
"Agents, leave the room.", said the King.
"Yes sir." , replied a agent. And then marched out of the government building.
"Reports?" , asked the King.
"Your spies were successful on their mission and have hacked into Lokian government server system, gaining valuable military information and the General of the Armed Forces is waiting for them." , says the advisor, while stepping up.
"Good, good...do we have the military man power and supplies need to take over Lokia?"
"That is the problem...we barely have enough food supplies.", replys the second advisor, also stepping up.
"I see...well if thats the case, inform the Law Enforcement of this matter and tell them to expand the hours of a farmer working from 12 to 15 hours a day, 7 days a week.
"Aye, your majesty." , replied the advisors, and at that, they left quickly.
Then, as they disappeared, he leaned back on his chair...and start dreaming of all the fortune, all the fame, all the power. "One day..." , he whispers. One day...
Departure for the City of Rodnar
Apollos feeds the fire with firewood, to keep him and his friends warm in the cold dark night, which contains a lot of unknowns. From bandits, to wild creatures, the wild will not nor does not treat a normal human being well. Apollos and his friends, were united at a camp a couple miles south of a city known as Rondar, a city filled with protesters and economically sad. The people their have been treated like Apollos and the miners were treated...mercilessly, painfully, and brutally. One would think it would be a good place to start a rebellion, a revolution, to send a clear message to the King of how tired the people are, how stubborn they are, and that they will do anything at any cost to turn the nation from the hands of tyranny. Apollos has been thinking of this thought since the departure from the mine a couple of days ago...now its time for him to address it to them.
"My brothers, I have been thinking of what should our next step be, and for some of you, itll not be hard to turn down the opportunity, but for others, the temptation would be to great.", begins Apollos.
"Tell me Apollos, what has been on your mind?", says Germund, one of 16 miners that were around the campfire.
"As you have seen, the tyrannical government, and its intentions on the people of this once great nation, it bullies the people, forcing them in submission, in the name of power. I want to change that. We need to bear up arms as our ancestors once have done long ago, for a similar purpose. Brothers, we must start a resistance, a rebellion against the government of Evok. They treat us like were dirt, like were human "resources" instead of human beings, for personal gain. We must stand up for whats right. And this Rebellion is the right thing to do.", explains Apollos.
All of the miners nod their heads in approval.
"How can we create and organize such a thing?", exclaims Alvin, another miner.
"It is indeed true none of us hold the experience or the wisdom of a true strategy to start a rebellion, but one very important advantage we have that the government doesnt have: support from the people. I believe this will help us a lot. And there is a city north of here called Rondar, with at least 70% of the citizens there hate the government with passion..
I believe our mission should start there. ", says Apollos.
"Brother, but what is the mission?", asks Germund.
"I havent quite decided the answer to that question but it has come down to either liberating the city of Rodnar from government hands and declare it a city-state for the time being, or form our rebellion secretly and undercover, in the process, recruit people into the ranks. I will decide when we reach the city. Or...we can take a vote on the matter now. All in favor of liberating the city please raise your hand. ", says Apollos. No hands were raised. "All in favor of working secretly and establish the rebellion"? All hands went up. "Very well, that is what we will do. Now lads, pack your bags. We leave at noon tommorow. But for now, get a good nights rest."
*17 months later
The Resistance
" Commander Apollos Johnson sir, our men were successful In intercepting the Air Defense Generator system.", Says General Germund Stone-Hammer.
"That really has shifted the cause to our side. I think we are ready now, to show Evil, and to show the King, that this nation belongs to the people. General, I have scheduled an appearance for a rally at Yagustauch tomorrow at 3 PM, to declare our independence on television, right during my speech, program the generator around the whole entire county of Lasko. Yagustauch will be the capital for our Republic. I have also invited a lot of brilliant men and women for a meeting 2 days from now to Yagustauch to discuss about the Constitution. So for now we need to send the Assassin brotherhood to take care of the Governor of Lasko." , Reply Commander Apollos.
"Yes sir, Commander I will contact them immediately.", Reply Germund.
3 PM the next day
The military of the rebellion has hacked into all the TV channels and their networks so now every TV in Evok is now staring at the leader of the Rebellion with also millions of supporters looking at him taking the podium at the memorial statue of leader and warrior from the old times, Tiber Septim.
Speech
People. Men, women, and child. I have come to you today to address a critical point for this nation, for the citizens that reside in it. As you know, the statue behind me, was carved into a image of a man who we dearly appreciate. A true role model for children and adults alike. King Tiber Septim was the true vision of freedom, of democracy, of hope. His goal was to make your everyone could experience the original Evokian dream. A dream in which has been buried in the past due to our tyrannical government. King Hagan Val has greatly destructed the Republic that Evok once was, and turned into a dictatorship. For 13 long years...we have been tortured mercilessly. We have been whipped. We have been kicked. We have been killed innocently by the dictator himself. Even in his recent call for workers of the agricultural sector to expand their hours...he called them "human resources". Ladies. Gentlemen. Whether you are out here today or watching on TV, you need to know this and now: no more. The King's call to ban the right to bear arms, his expansion of slavery, and restrictions on freedom of speech shall end NOW. So, in order to preserve democracy, freedom, and justice in the known land of Evok, we people of the nation, Adawn, shall secede from the union and is to be declared independent fully from the Constitution and the affairs of Evok. Also, we will not declare war on the nation of Evok unless they intervene with us in any way. Thank you, and always remember the famous words which are carved under Tiber Septim's statue, "Nothing is impossible with God".

This is the Constitution they created:
I. Article l.
Section I:
• An executive branch is formed for the government.
• The executive branch is the President and his/her administration and the following positions will be head of that department/In that adminstration.

•The President will be head of the administration
•Every 4 years, a national election will be called for the seat of President. That President is allowed to be in that position no more than for 2 consecutive terms.
•The requirements to be a Presidential candidate, is to be at least 20 years of age, but no more than 75. Also, you must be born in Adawn, and have no criminal record.
•The President may select his own cabinet/administration.
•The President has the power of veto unless 3/5 or more of Congress votes In favor of a bill.
Section II:
•The legislative branch shall be formed.
•There shall be 2 groups that shall reside within the legislative branch, the Senate, and the House of Representatives. Together, the 2 groups are called Congress.
•There shall be 65 Senate members, with 2 year terms, while the Representatives shall hold a seat of 120 with 3 year terms. There is no limit for how much you may get reelected.
•Congress role is to propose laws and the House Speaker will put it to vote. If it is 3/5 or more in favor of a bill, it can override the Presidents veto.
•If a justice has resigned, or died, or have been impeached, the House Speaker is allowed to look for another Judicial candidate to replace the previous one. The House of Representatives will take a vote to see if the candidate qualities, and if over 4/7 approves the candidate, he will be put into the Judicial system.
•The Senate has the authority to call for Congress for the impeachment of the President. Over 1/2 of the Senate has to agree to the calling, then 2/3 majority of Congress is needed to remove the President. Vice-President is second in line of the Presidency.
Section III
•The Judicial system shall be formed, completing all the branches which are in government.
•There will be 4 different levels of the Major Court System, here is the following:
District Major Court
County Major Court
National Major Court
• There shall be 9 Justices on the Court, one of them being Chief Justice.
•The requirements for being a Justice is to be a natural born citizen, no criminal record, have a college degree in political science, and must be at least 30 years of age, but no more than 70. Once a Justice is 70 years old, he will then be released of his duties.
Article II
•The Congress, whenever two thirds of both houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose amendments to this Constitution, or, on the application of the legislatures of two thirds of the several states, shall call a convention for proposing amendments, which, in either case, shall be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the legislatures of three fourths of the several states, or by conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other mode of ratification may be proposed by the Congress; provided that no amendment which may be made prior to the year one thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any manner affect the first and fourth clauses in the ninth section of the first article; and that no state, without its consent, shall be deprived of its equal suffrage in the Senate.
Article III:
•All debts contracted and engagements entered into, before the adoption of this Constitution, shall be as valid against the Republic under this Constitution, as under the Confederation.
This Constitution, and the laws of the Republic which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the Republic, shall be the supreme law of the land; and the judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the Constitution or laws of any State to the contrary notwithstanding.
The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the members of the several state legislatures, and all executive and judicial officers, both of the Republic and of the several states, shall be bound by oath or affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the Republic.

The Battle at Tuscaloosa
General Germund was studying the map of the newly formed Republic of Adawn and it's opponent, when Brigadier General Olof Harrison approaches the man of war.
"You wanted to see me sir?" Said, Olof.
"Indeed. As you know we are going to take over Evok with all we got. The enemy is strong and powerful. They got the supplies. They got the money. But one thing they don't have with them is the people. We are planning on annexing the region of Tuscaloosa and I am putting you in charge of the operation."
"Thank you General. I will see to it that the people will be avenged.", Says Olof.
"Good. Go now. Do it for Tiber. Do it for Adawn. Do it for God."
Olof dismisses the General, going to the intelligence agency headquarters in Yagustauch.
As he leaves, Germund strokes his beard, pondering on the next strategy in which to pursue with the successful intelligence he has gained from the enemy. He muttered to himself the same quote over and over: go big or go home. Air Force Commander Ron Finnigan enters the room. Germund, without turning his head, said, "are they ready"?
"Yes sir. Operation Go big is ready for a go." Excellent once Brigadier General Olof Harrison signalizes that they are deploying, I will give you your next orders.", Germund.
"Roger that."
The Commander then leaves.
