The Dictatorship of BoxcarJim is a colossal, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its rampant corporate plagiarism, frequent executions, and national health service. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 6.386 billion BoxcarJimians are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

The large, corrupt, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defense, and Education. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 66.4%.

The all-consuming BoxcarJimian economy, worth 677 trillion bills a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a large, well-organized black market in Tourism, Information Technology, Arms Manufacturing, and Beef-Based Agriculture. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 106,103 bills, with the richest citizens earning 6.9 times as much as the poorest.

Angst-filled teenagers are rushing off to buy government bonds for some odd reason, a baby's first breath is also a baby's first felony, soldiers are equipped with multi-million bill battlesuits, and hammer and sickle-wielding space marines are such stuff that dreams are made on. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. BoxcarJim's national animal is the phoenix, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies.

BoxcarJim is ranked 156,780th in the world and 5,027th in the West Pacific for Largest Trout Fishing Sector, scoring -2.68 on the Nemo Depletion Efficiency Index.
