Treaty of Mercia

We, The West Pacific, and The Kingdom of Great Britain, enter into this agreement in the spirit of friendship and to recognize a foundation of unity between our regions that is built upon common ideals and a common purpose.

Statement of Friendship

A. The West Pacific and the Kingdom of Great Britain recognize both the independence and sovereignty of each other's regions, and recognize the legitimacy of each other's Heads of State and Heads of Government.
B. There shall be a firm and inviolable peace and sincere friendship between The West Pacific and its citizens on the one part, and His Imperial Majesty and the Kingdom of Great Britain on the other part.
C. This Treaty makes explicit the understanding that neither signatory to this Treaty shall engage in any acts of belligerence or aggression toward the other, or toward any of each other's Provinces, Territories, or Colonies.
D. This Treaty implies and requires no military involvement or obligation from one signatory region in defending or collaborating on military ventures with the other signatory region when they are not explicitly conducting joint operations.

2. Acts of Military Unison

A. The Kingdom of Great Britain and The West Pacific are encouraged to maintain an active military partnership by having joint military operations whenever possible.
B. The Kingdom of Great Britain and The West Pacific are encouraged to assist in ensuring each other maintains an elite military by having joint training operations as often as possible.
C. In times of political upheaval, The Kingdom of Great Britain and The West Pacific will endeavour to restore the rightful, legal government of the other signatory.

3. Mutual Intelligence

A. The Kingdom of Great Britain and The West Pacific are required to share any intelligence with each other when it pertains to the others Regional Security.
B. The Kingdom of Great Britain and The West Pacific are encouraged to share any intelligence whenever possible and in the interests of each region to promote further friendship and mutual cooperation.

4. Cultural Cooperation

A. The Kingdom of Great Britain and The West Pacific are encouraged to engage in scheduled cultural exchanges to uphold and promote the unique culture of both regions, in coordination between the Ministries of Culture and Foreign Affairs of both regions.

5. Acts of Implementation

A. Upon ratification of this Treaty by the Government and Ruler of each region, each region must formally accept the treaty by sending an Accredited Diplomat with his/her Diplomatic Nation to the other region. The Diplomat shall be granted Diplomatic Visa status while on the Diplomatic Mission.
B. Both signatories to this Treaty shall provide a Consulate or an Embassy for their counterpart on their Regional Forum.
C. Once these steps have been taken and are completed, this Treaty will be in effect.
