The Kingdom of Hologaland is a huge, orderly nation, remarkable for its museums and concert halls, ban on automobiles, and stringent health and safety legislation. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 381 million Hologmen are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The large, corrupt, socially-minded, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of lfsbr. The average income tax rate is 67.2%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The Hologalandian economy, worth 24.7 trillion penningrs a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient black market in Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, Basket Weaving, and Book Publishing. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 64,737 penningrs, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

School plays were recently banned due to concerns of child endangerment, there's no such thing as a safe bet, weapons are only sold to foreign governments that are legitimate enough to not bounce the cheque, and adults pretending to be teenage girls claim to have wholesome motives. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Hologaland's national animal is the wolf, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Hologaland is ranked 81,332nd in the world and 2,846th in the West Pacific for Largest Trout Fishing Sector, scoring 2,131.95 on the Nemo Depletion Efficiency Index.
