The Republic of Irador is a massive, cultured nation, ruled by Arlec Varsel with an even hand, and renowned for its teetotalling pirates, barren, inhospitable landscape, and irreverence towards religion. The hard-nosed population of 1.031 billion Iradorians are highly moralistic and fiercely conservative, in the sense that they tend to believe most things should be outlawed. People who have good jobs and work quietly at them are lauded; others are viewed with suspicion.

The medium-sized, corrupt government juggles the competing demands of Industry, Education, and Administration. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Arrenta. The average income tax rate is 36.7%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Iradorian economy, worth 126 trillion Rodars a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Automobile Manufacturing, Arms Manufacturing, and Uranium Mining. Black market activity is rampant. State-owned companies are common. Average income is an impressive 123,062 Rodars, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.3 times as much as the poorest.

Pedal-powered removal vans are a popular Maxxmas gift for the children of separated parents, pet owners must make a payment if their charges leave a deposit, unemployed political consultants and advertisers spend every election night weeping for the good old days, and foreign policy is to avoid standing up to bullies. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. Irador's national animal is the Lynx, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Irador is ranked 158,829th in the world and 4,063rd in the West Pacific for Lowest Overall Tax Burden, scoring 36.39 on the Hayek Index.
