Christianity and Yatoism

Christianity

Christianity is an Abrahamic monotheistic religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. Its adherents, known as Christians, believe that Jesus is the Christ, whose coming as the Messiah was prophesied in the Hebrew Bible, called the Old Testament in Christianity, and chronicled in the New Testament.

The biggest group of Christians follow the Roman-Germanian Orthodox faith. The head of the faith is the kaiser, who leads nationwide ceremonies. The churches are heavily inspired by old Hellenic temples, wit the ceremonies taking place in Latin. Most traditions of this faith are Germanic in origin and are unique to other versions of Orthodoxy

The second largest branch in the NDR is the protestants, making up most of the Christians. They meet in churches and wear darker clothes. Roman Catholics are the third largest group, but a clear minority.

Yatoism

Yatoism is the belief of those who believe that Yato is main god. Similar to Shinto belief, there exist more gods. They all have shrines where gifts can be given to the gods they desire, but Yato is the main and most important god and is visited by all. Those who worship Yato are called ' Yatoites'. It is standard to give a small coin to honour the Yato god at one of his shrines. It is believed that the Royal family can contact him and he assists the nation in times of trouble. He is also sighted helping random citizens with everyday tasks, but disappears when it is finished. Many Christians also visit the Shrines, but they are still labelled as Christians in the statistics
