A little story to go with her:
Project AMI was the creation of both the most dangerous threat to all humanity by machine life, but also the creation of humanity's defender from machine life. The project was the creation of military grade androids that could feel and think independently without a handler, all of it worked from an off-site lab called LionTek Industries. Creation of an android or a AI of such intelligence was impossible normally, but the head of the project had found a way to cheat both. Dr. Lisa Everstone, a wolf fur, was head of the project. She developed a dangerous procedure that used construction and medical nanites to replace a person's body piece by piece to convert them into a near exact copy of the person in robot form; though she had a distaste for humans and would change them into robotic furs in the process. Their minds were converted digitally along with all their memories, experiences, and personalities making the copies complete.

The "volunteers" for this project were criminals with multiple life sentences or patients with terminal illnesses, more than enough for Dr. Everstone to test the process as many times as she wished. To ensure their new androids wouldn't try to escape or fight back, Dr. Everstone made the procedure delete selected parts of the newly converted memories of those changed and replaced them with loyalty programs. This wiped out the personalities of the host for a short time before a new or similar one reasserted itself, its loyalty belonging to Dr. Everstone. She saw them as her children, and vowed to protect them from being abused by the world.

Eventually LionTek Industries started to hire outside help to maintain both the lab and the androids, not trusting most of their staff with such a huge technological breakthrough.

Elizabeth Cooper was one of these techs, a smart girl fresh from college who had training in electrical engineering and robotics. She signed on as a freelance maintenance technician and was assigned to the team that worked with the androids specifically, getting to know how they worked and eventually making friends with one of Dr. Everstone's lab assistants Dave Armitage. The process of the transformation procedure was kept quiet to all the employees except for Dr. Everstone and her assistants, Dave himself fighting with his conscience about whether the conversion of people, even criminals, was right.

Everything fell to pieces when LionTek was bought out by GeneMedical Corporation and wished to change the projects focus of creating androids to using the procedure to replace lost limbs or damaged organs. Dr. Everstone refused to let her project die and let her "children" be put into storage. Instead she started to move her project and personnel to a new site to continue, but soon hit snags when several of the technicians including Elizabeth decide that with their contracts coming to a end that they wanted out. Instead of letting them go and letting the company find out she was stealing her own project, Dr. Everstone instead had them thrown into the conversion chambers by the androids and forcibly converted into a new batch of androids.

Dave had watched in horror as his friend Elizabeth changed before his eyes. When the memory purge began, Dave had been quick enough to save Elizabeth's mind to a back up in the lab's servers. He wiped the loyalty programs from his friend's mind and re-uploaded her memories intact and left her in sleep mode until the lab cleared out. When it was safe, he woke her up and helped her through the shock from the transformation. Once she was calmed down enough he lead her to a second exit in the lab, narrowly evading security, before she made it outside and escaped.

After escaping the company's lab, Elizabeth managed to make it to the city park. Eventually finding a secluded spot where she could think, she managed to disable her internal communication system and cut contact with Dave, much to his annoyance. There she sat, trying to understand this new reality where her old body was gone and this new metallic shell was the new her. The idea was to alien to her and she still couldn't accept what had happened.

She knew this body in and out, she had been maintaining other AMI androids for months now and she knew every part and piece. She knew how her joints worked and how every part moved to make her fingers wiggle in front of her face. But she couldn't accept that this was her. She asked herself the same questions most sentient robots that she had read or watched on TV asked: Was she still alive? Did she have a soul? Was she still Elizabeth Cooper or just some machine with Elizabeth's memories formatted into some solid state drive in her head?

She knew she still had emotions; she could feel them swirling like a whirlpool in her. A part of her was angry; she wanted to rip something to pieces. She was heartbroken, knowing she could never have her old life back. And a part of her was strangely content, her knowledge of how her new body worked and how to maintain it brought familiarity and with that some strange comfort. She wanted to cry, but knew that she couldn’t. She needed to keep it together until she was somewhere safer and the fact that AMI androids did not have a way to simulate tears.

She eventually turned her communication system back on and got back to Dave. He quickly gave her a way to get out of the park without being noticed as a robot fox by deactivating the limiter on her OS and uploaded new files for her Infiltration Mode. The micro fabricators in her arms quickly covered her body in a synthetic fur and clothing, disguising Elizabeth as a silver fox that was close to the same age and build as Elizabeth. She quickly adjusted to this new look, spending some time moving around in it before she finally left the park and made her way to Dave's apartment.

Once there, Dave tried to insist that he and Elizabeth try to run before they realize that Elizabeth was missing from the lab. Instead Elizabeth convinced him to stay and help stop Dr. Everstone by exposing her. Dave returns to the lab the next night as Elizabeth acts as support by disabling security cameras from Dave's apartment. When Dave breaks into Dr. Everstone's office, he finds her there waiting for him. Quickly disabling him, she acts disappointed in how Dave's conscience got the better of him and that he stole the missing AMI android. Deciding in needing a replacement android for the missing one, Dave was going to be the newest "volunteer".

Elizabeth bolted from the apartment making a straight dash to the lab in hopes of saving her friend in time.

Breaking back into the lab was easy, but making her way to Dave wasn't. The entire complex's automated security was online and was trying to take her out. Activating her Assault Mode, she unleashed all that pent up rage from her forced transformation against the robotic security. After she fought her way to the main lab she found Dave and Dr. Everstone, her friend trapped in the converter chamber while the Doctor was preparing to start the procedure. Elizabeth broke down the door to the lab and attacked Dr. Everstone, throwing the wolf fur to the side as she tried shut down the activation of the chamber.

Dr. Everstone fought back, having been strangely powerful enough to tangle with a powerfully motivated android. The fight ended when a glancing blow from Elizabeth sent Dr. Everstone slipping backwards and slamming into the electrified casing of the nanite storage. The electrical current was louder than Dr. Everstone's screams and Elizabeth couldn't bear to look at what happened to the doctor. The electrical surge from the Doctor's body smashing into the shielding had forced the circuit breakers to trip within the lab, shutting down the conversion chamber and all the servers in the process. As a small fire erupted from the room where Dr. Everstone's body lay, Elizabeth made her way back to Dave and broke him out of the chamber.

Their reunion was short-lived as from where the fire started to spread Dr. Everstone stepped out from it and stood in the way of their escape. Dr. Everstone's body had been burned and scorched from the fire and the electricity, but underneath the burnt and torn fur was stainless metal and gears. Dr. Everstone boasted to both how when she selected herself as the first test subject of the conversion procedure leaving her stronger and better than everyone else, but her memory and intelligence was left intact. She had declared that she was the first of a new race of machines and would spread her "gift" of machine life to all, uplifting them to become perfect beings. She was to be their mother, taking the name Eve, and lead them to a new and glorious era. Elizabeth rejected both Eve and her ideals, instead she declared to stand against Eve and her ambitions.

Both androids fought viciously, Elizabeth buying Dave time to escape as her and Eve tore through the build. The fight was evenly matched but ended when the fire started from before consumed the building and caused it to collapse, Elizabeth barely making it out. After the lab was destroyed along with most of the equipment, there had been no sign of Eve or any of the missing androids and personnel. Elizabeth was still hiding out at Dave's apartment as the rise of technological theft became more apparent, both of them having agreed that it was most likely Eve trying to rebuild her converter.

Having decided to stop Eve from carrying out her plans and protect others from suffering the same fate she had, Elizabeth became a robotic vigilante named Digital Vixen.
