The Aterian Warmongers are regiments of the Astra Militarum hailing from the Fortress World of Ateria located in the Segmentum Ultima. Regiments of the Aterian Warmongers are famous for their vast manpower and use of manoeuvre warfare, all fully composed of highly disciplined and professional soldiers taught and trained from childhood, and indoctrinated to revere the God-Emperor. Inside this Militarum Regimentum’s vast arsenal of weaponry are a mix of old tech and new tech, ballistic weapons and more laser-, plasma-, and chemical-based guns and weapon systems. Complementing this fighting force are a plethora of Old Earth military vehicles collected from the ancient armouries dotting the planet’s surface.
The Aterian Warmongers has a long and storied history of bravery, courage, discipline, honour and stewardship in the face of threats that endanger the Imperium of Man, their battle lines made of plasteel and flesh, fortified by their immense bravery and the code of honour to defend those who cannot hope to defend themselves. They fight all over the galaxy, saving the God-Emperor’s faithful and expunging the heretic and the xeno from existence.

Regimental History
Ateria was, at one time, a beautiful world that was fertile and verdant. When human colonists arrived on Ateria during the Age of Technology they turned the planet into a rich and powerful planet.
When turbulent warp storms severed the planet from the rest of its fellow colonies, human civilization on Ateria fell into disarray; distress and panic was felt over the world until unrest broke out in all three nation states over the planet, the civil administrations overthrown in these violent revolutions. An apocalyptic war on the same scale as the one on Earth was fought, heralding the human race into a time eerily similar to the Middle Ages on Earth except one that lasted for tens of thousand years.
During the ten thousand years feudal kingdoms and fiefdoms arose. Some would prosper and thrive on strong foundations through the ages, others would meet their downfall one way or the other. Generation after generation, humanity eventually forgot so much about the history of their world and their existence.
When the Emperor’s Great Crusade arrived on Ateria, they discovered a world that was embroiled in war, its populace trying to tear each other down.

The Aterian Warmongers are regarded as one of the best equipped military forces in the Imperium of Man. Whilst most of their wargear are outmoded by technical standards, they are still functional nevertheless and can punch through enemy lines with extreme force. Ancient weapons from the Age of Terra intermingle with infantry weapons like Lasguns and Plasma Guns.
The Imperial Army fields its own pattern of armoured fighting vehicles; the Imperial Army Medium Tank is similar to the Leman Russ, the main battle tank of the Imperium’s armed forces. Armed with the most advanced weapons systems available on the planet, the Mega Tank is the Imperial Army at its zenith of technology and is equal to the Baneblade in firepower, size and armour, able to withstand even high explosives and large-caliber anti-tank guns employed against them by their enemies.
