The Kingdom of Ordestan is a massive, orderly nation, ruled by King Gian the fair with an iron fist, and renowned for its zero percent divorce rate, lack of airports, and complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, cynical, devout population of 1.778 billion Ordestanians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The relatively small, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government is primarily concerned with Defense, with Spirituality, Administration, and Industry also on the agenda, while International Aid and Social Policy are ignored. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Fort Zhakasc. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 31.6%.

The thriving Ordestanian economy, worth 163 trillion Ordins a year, is fairly diversified and dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with significant contributions from Uranium Mining, Basket Weaving, and Furniture Restoration. Black market activity is rampant. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 92,136 Ordins, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 265,543 per year while the poor average 25,383, a ratio of 10.5 to 1.

The nation's children are known for being even more apathetic and cynical than their parents, this year's hottest seller is plenary indulgence, new "Worker's Strike" laws set out who is allowed to strike a worker, and stores employing more than 100 employees are required to be at least twenty miles from any competitor. Crime is pervasive, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. Ordestan's national animal is the Imperial Eagle, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to toxic air pollution, and its national religion is Reformed Imperial Cult.

Ordestan is ranked 342,858th in the world and 117th in Palatine for Smartest Citizens, with 0.65 quips per hour.
