Operation Free Culture: How the Socialist Reactorland ended digital piracy and digital divide with the open-source community

According to the capitalist powers, piracy destroys the creativity of the filmmakers and the entire entertainment industry. But in the socialist Reactorland, piracy was destroyed not by policemen or raids but with compassion and free media for all.

Operation Free Culture is a series of missions to improve the open-source communities in Reactorland with the help of government funding by decentralized welfare bureaus in Reactorland. The decentralized welfare bureaus, known in Reactorland as the The People's Voices (TPV), which doubles as a state-funded small reaction video company, started a plan to renovate every TPV buildings and turned them to "cultural production buildings" as the needs of entertainment rise over the people of Reactorland far and wide. This is part of the First Five Year Plans of Reactorland (2891

Changes made by OFC:

- Change and abolished the old copyright system to a new system called the People's Artistic Revolution License (PARL) system, which is essentially a remodeled open source license, but all media will be owned by the people.

Example:

All content created by [name, production name or group name] is owned by the government of Reactorland and the people all across the globe. Modification and destruction of any kind is allowed without any permission to the creator or the government of Reactorland, distribution of this material is legal and promoted by the state's Department of Media and Entertainment, Reactorland (DMER). Keeping this material in any form is legal and promoted by the government for preservation, enjoyment, and remixing. You don't need to write permission to anyone as the art and media belong to humanity.

ARTISTS OF THE WORLD, UNITE!

- Creation of DMER (Department of Media and Entertainment, Reactorland)

- Investment of open-source media and projects by People's Welfare Post of Reactorland (PWPR). This leads to a new game, soap opera, and music releases every week.

- Creation of People's Entertainment Foundation, the world's largest open-source community collective in the world with talented and creative staff members of over 10,000 men and women (known as the Great Reactors) all across the wasteland. (year 3025 census by PEF)

- Combating piracy by restorative justice to the accused and guilty with "punishment" of working in an open-source community for a fixed time (mostly around 1 year to 5 years).

Effects:

- Happier populace

- Stability to all 4 main ethnicities and minorities of Reactorland

It started a golden age of art in Reactorland called Erwa Period (Erwa means sun in Reactor Creole), which is still ongoing today.

- Restoration of the environment thanks to some funds going to the environment department.
