|
Raelin - Conquered a few more isles in his reign, began war with the Pequizian isles. He died young and had no kids. (Reign: 215 BCE - 210 BCE)
|
Merin (The Great) - War with Pequiz ramped up, and both were trying to conquer as much land and as many islands as possible. Merin conquered over 200 islands in a brutal campaign and invaded Dravina, their Neighbor to the North, claiming the city state and the surrounding territory in a short yet intense campaign. Died a few years after the invasion of Dravina. Ended first Pequizian war. He also built several stone roads.Married a woman of house Sei named Larina. She died during the birth of their 7th child. He remarried a noble of a southern isle named Katelyn. Together they had 8 children. In total Merin had 15 children. With Larina he had Rhea, Hyin, Ilrin, Upton, Jiokiane, Yorin, and Therin. With Katelyn he had Thoerin, Karstin, Eskaterin, Hera, Atrea, and Regalia, Horlia and Fria. (Reign: 210 BCE - 164 BCE)

Hyin II - Dealt with his many siblings and half siblings, making them governers of Major islands and territories. Ilrin, his younger full brother, stayed with him in Tenaire in case he suddenly died, and his half brother Theorin founded the society of Richompian intellectuals. The nine highest of the society are called the archmaesters, and six of those are chosen to be the Sea Sages, advisors to the king. He married a Dravinian Princess and had two children, Nirin and Rachel. He defended Dravina against a Deplandian assault. He started and ended a 7 year war with Pequiz, and conquered many of Pequiz’s southern isles. (Reign: 164 BCE - 132 BCE)

Emperors of the Richompian Empire (132 BCE -
The Golden Era (132 BCE -
House Livyatan

Nirin (The Conquerer) - Began his reign in a Richomp that was a war machine. Instead of dismantling the system he grew it tenfold. After 5 years he had the most formidable Navy and one of the greatest army in the world. He proceeded to invade a weakened Pequiz, but he didn’t brutally suppress it, instead he married the princess of the king of Pequiz and invited them into the realm. He then moved his armies to the areas around the huge walled city of Dravina. And there his genius began to show. He turned the somewhat muddy areas outside the city into huge and prosperous farms and began to train his army with rigid formations. Then he launched an invasion into the heart of Dauiland, and took the fertile land of the kingdoms of Katlam. There he continued this strategy of farm, train, invade until his empire stretched from Avlandia to Crimtonian Spectre. He had 3 children named Sealin, Parin and Katara (Reign: 132 BCE - 83 BCE)
|
Sealin - Began his reign with a full grainery and Massive treasuries. He decided to not continue expanding the empire of his father and instead built huge roads connecting the major cities of Richompia. He founded several cities including modern day Orin, which was on the edge of a Deplandian lake which fed into a river leading to the sea of whales. This allowed troops and resources to reach the war front fast. He married a noble from Pequiz and had 2 children, Korin and Nirin II (Reign: 83 BCE - 52 BCE)
|
Parin- When Sealin died, Parin claimed the throne with what seemed like the same ambitions as his father. He took over much of Seeroltea and even tried to invade TLU. This invasion failed, and he died in battle. He was married to a noble from the Southern Isles but he was notorious for sleeping with whoever he wanted. It was even rumored that he was having an affair with his sister Katara, but this has been repeatedly debunked as gossip from the time. He had no children with his wife, meaning that he had no legitimate heir, but he had over 20 children with other women, of which we don't need to name except for Six who became known of the knights of Parin. Although they still served the next kings loyally, they were not permitted to have the in at the end of their names. These six were Thorak, Exvil, Yaran, Lointradan, Hermon and the greatest of them all, Iloken. Each one was incredibly skilled in sword fighting and served the next two kings valliently until their death. Today each one of them has a city island named after them. (Reign: 52 BCE - 32 BCE)

Korin (The Dragon) - Korin ascended the throne when he was young and ambitious. He became the darling of the empire when he was young, and his popularity was unmatched as he ascended the throne. One of the first things he did was make official watches for all of the major cities, and made sure that there were basic public amenities in all of them. Additionally, he renamed the capital, formally called Teniare, Nirin, after his grandfather. He them commissioned a new palace on the top of the falls of Tenaire, an engineering feat for the time. He turned the old, yet still massive castle into a huge public library and a meeting place for the society and the sea sages. The government was then officially centralized in Nirin, as it would remain for over 1500 years as the capital. The palace began work during his reign, but sadly would not be finished. He named the knights of Parin as his official guards and conquered sovak medasic. He got his nickname as the young dragon. because his sword was called dragon’s maw, and it was said he could wield it so fast it began to catch fire and he looked like a dragon on the field of battle. During his reign there was a rebellion in northern Deplandia and he smote the false Deplandian king. On the ride down the northern road, some Deplanian guerilla fighters isolated his caravan and attempted to pull him of his horse. At the time 2 of the knights of Parin were at the front of the caravan, two were at the back and two were accompanying him. The two were Hermon and Exvil. There were over 60 ambushers against the king and the two knights of Parin. Wave after wave of fighter came up against the king, but the guards held strong each holding their own against at leat 15 Deplandians, but alas, even such renowned knights as Hermon and Exvil of the knights of Parin could not defeat limitless fighters. Each died defending their king. Finally, Korin flew into a rage. It is said that he embodied his nickname that day, slaying over 20 Deplandians alone, but he was slain by a rouge arrow. By the time Iloken and the three other knights got to the fight, the emperor and his guards were dead. Korin had recently married a Dravinian princess, but she bore no heirs in their brief time together. (Reign: 32 BCE - 16 BCE)

Nirin II
The brother of Korin had large shoes to fill. When he assumed the throne, the nation was grieving. He had recently married a Pequizian Noble, named Magellia, who today was considered to have run the realm during Nirin’s II Reign. The first action of his reign was commissioning the three great statues to be built. The first two, were statues of Nirin and Caelin. They were 700 feet tall each, and carved into the cliffs directly behind the city of Nirin. Then, he commissioned the massive statue of Korin to be put atop the nearly completed Starcrest palace. His reign remained stable until the second Deplandian revolution, in which a few surviving leaders of the first rebellion rose up. They were vanquished easily in a month and a half. Nirin had 3 children, Raxin, Fanela, and Jin. Fanela was kidnapped when she was 5, terrifying the nation. Raxin, at that point 14 years old, with the advice of Iloken, the now very old knight of Parin, decided to rescue his sister. In a daring rescue, he saved his sister from the Harbor of Nirin, where it was suspected she would have been taken to TLU in case the Richompians ever invaded. Nirin II’s reign ended violently, when Jin tried to usurp the throne. Killed in single combat by Raxin.

Raxin (The Religious)
After his duel, something changed in Raxin. He became a most pious figure, as many speculated he felt weighed down by the death of his brother by his hand. He took a trip, by foot, to the city of Ishatahere, at the time the third largest city in Richomp, and commissioned a massive temple, one worthy of being the successor of the first two. The synagogue was massive, and in the shape of a star of david. The temple was a massive expenditure, which he paid for by raising taxes, making him a most unpopular king. His reign ended when his ship was coming back from Ishtahere, and the ship ran ashore, killing everyone onboard.
