The Republic of Sogalis is a massive, efficient nation, notable for its rampant corporate plagiarism, suspicion of poets, and complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, hard-working population of 1.144 billion Sogalisians are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The tiny government is primarily concerned with Defense, although Administration, Industry, and Public Transport are also considered important, while International Aid and Spirituality aren't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Bombosia. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 5.7%.

The thriving Sogalisian economy, worth 96.7 trillion Dollars a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is broadly diversified and led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with major contributions from Uranium Mining, Retail, and Automobile Manufacturing. Average income is 84,509 Dollars, with the richest citizens earning 5.9 times as much as the poorest.

Children gain their first sex education from reading the dictionary, corporate innovation has effectively ended since ideas can no longer be owned, people are bored of easy crossword puzzles, and adult stores are all sold out of whips. Crime, especially youth-related, is a major problem, probably because of the absence of a police force. Sogalis's national animal is the porpoise, which is also the nation's favorite main course.

Sogalis is ranked 35,689th in the world and 53rd in Sonindia for Most Pro-Market, scoring 67.88 on the Rand Index.
