The Republic of The Tsunterlands is a very large, efficient nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service, absence of drug laws, and complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic, devout population of 131 million Tsuntermen live in a state of perpetual fear, as a complete breakdown of social order has led to the rise of order through biker gangs.

The tiny, liberal, outspoken government prioritizes Spirituality, although Defense, Education, and Administration are also considered important, while International Aid and Social Policy aren't funded at all. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 5.8%.

The very strong Tsunter economy, worth 9.26 trillion Silverpounds a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is fairly diversified and led by the Tourism industry, with major contributions from Uranium Mining, Book Publishing, and Trout Farming. Average income is 70,689 Silverpounds, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 237,248 per year while the poor average 15,630, a ratio of 15.2 to 1.

Stealing from a clothesline is a serious offence, the government has announced its plans to construct a giant weaponised robot-cat, for just a few extra Silverpounds Tsuntermen can get new driving records with their new cars, and nobody looks each other in the eye at neighborhood block parties any more. Crime is a problem, probably because of the absence of a police force. The Tsunterlands's national animal is the Manta Ray.

The Tsunterlands is ranked 3,183rd in the world and 12th in The Western Isles for Most Valuable International Artwork, with 237.46 Bank.
