The Empire of Tivinter is a massive, orderly nation, ruled by Archon Radonis with an iron fist, and renowned for its museums and concert halls, smutty television, and free-roaming dinosaurs. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless, devout population of 1.457 billion Magistairs are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The large, corrupt, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Education, Defense, and Administration. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Minrathos. The average income tax rate is 83.0%.

The frighteningly efficient Magistair economy, worth 196 trillion Gold Coins a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a large, well-organized, fairly diversified black market in Information Technology, Arms Manufacturing, Tourism, and Cheese Exports. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 134,696 Gold Coins, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 4.4 times as much as the poorest.

The government extracts trade concessions from poor nations in exchange for humanitarian aid, glancing at the car radio display while driving is treated as attempted homicide, it is illegal to make racist remarks in public, and the Tivinter Automotive Racing Series draws millions of spectators annually while those near the tracks complain about the noise. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Tivinter's national animal is the Dragon, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies, and its national religion is The Temple of the Old Gods.

Tivinter is ranked 163,917th in the world and 6,201st in The East Pacific for Most Secular, with 7.19 Atheism Rate.
