The Oppressed Peoples of Tyrae is a colossal, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Eternal King with an iron fist, and renowned for its closed borders, ban on automobiles, and punitive income tax rates. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless, devout population of 5.175 billion Tyraeans are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The enormous, corrupt, moralistic, socially-minded, well-organized government is primarily concerned with Defense, although Spirituality, Law & Order, and Environment are also considered important, while Education and Welfare aren't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Tyrae City. The average income tax rate is 95.0%.

The all-consuming Tyraean economy, worth a remarkable 1,095 trillion rupees a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is an enormous, deeply entrenched, extremely specialized black market in Arms Manufacturing. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an amazing 211,666 rupees, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.1 times as much as the poorest.

The government regularly hires contractors to construct high rise apartments, the new intercity submarine SSN Dove Warrior instills terror in claustrophobic travellers, unwary hikers climbing the bluffs of Mount Tyrae City make great practice for foreign snipers, and 'Police Academy 36' and 'Sharknados On A Plane' are vying for top spot at the box-office. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Tyrae's national animal is the dove, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies, and its national religion is Mother Earth Cult.

Tyrae is ranked 205,567th in the world and 8,025th in The East Pacific for Largest Automobile Manufacturing Sector, scoring -27.09 on the Henry Ford Productivity Index.
