Deep Realm Files [Storage, No Longer Cannon]

Overview
The Deep Realm is where all beings in Vespergale are kept that possess more magical capabilities than an average magic professor and those who are too dangerous to be kept in a regular prison. Most of the beings are kept under tight lock and key, with execution guaranteed for anyone that leaks any form of information about it. But, once in a while info on the creatures kept in the Deep Realm are released out to select people in private. These are some of the files known by very high ranking officials of Vespergale, but these are to never be leaked with the punishment of death. Some of the people that know of these are the Duchesses, Dukes, and the royal family themselves. Though not everyone of these are known by even them, only being told to a select few high ranking officers of the Deep Realm itself. (You cannot know of any of these ICly unless you were told by one of my characters.)
Classification
Behavior

[Inconnu] Inconnu are simply subjects who is unknown yet how they will behave. Similar to Jeune the Inconnu has not yet formed any opinions that would put them in other categories. Or simply they are beings that cannot be understood based on speech (if they can speak) and by behavior.

[Jeune] The prefix Jeune is given to mostly subjects that have been deemed too young to understand to have fully developed opinions. Most Jeune range from the age of six to the early teens, though some that range lower and higher do occur. Jeune often cry and whine from being away from their loved ones but this is to be ignored.

No Jeune unless specifically ordered by a senior officer are to receive any form of special treatment besides age. Play items such as small toys and simple games are to be removed in case of self injury (as they commonly try to commit suicide) or possibly using the item(s) along with their magic. It is suggested to all officers to not place moral guided or "soft" guards by their cells as they could possibly have thoughts of releasing them.

From being enclosed in a small space away from any contact from others (unless ordered by an officer) will most of the time suffer from fits of insanity. This is for the greater good of the Deep Realm as those who don't manage to go absolutely crazy under the poor condition and are cooperative might be selected by an officer for specialized training.

[Ecouter] Ecouters are subjects that have proven themselves to be cooperative with Deep Realm personal. If they do posses this prefix assigned by the board of the Deep Realm then they may be selected by a officer for special training much like a Jeune.

It is prohibited for a officer to select a Ecouter if they themselves do not have the abilities to beat them. And seeing that some beings can mask their magical abilities an investigation team along with strike team will keep watch on any and all Ecouter for the first year of field work, if they pass training.

Also Ecouters that are prime for choice for an officer are to be given special treatment. They should be given excess food instead of the minimal needed to survive and more expensive items of food. Another possible item you may give them are toys and trinkets, as long as their magic doesn't coincide with the given item.

[Bien] The Bien are subjects who are kind and naturally loving. Commonly guards note that they couldn't hurt a fly. But still there is always a risk. Bien is often used for Ecouters that are polite and overall nice during testing. Still Bien are known for refusing to cooperate because it goes against their morals.

Inmates who have this prefix tend to confuse the guards as of how they're not affected by the living conditions. Even Ecouter suffer from fits of insanity, but never the Bein. If a Bien shows signs of insanity then they will be reclassified to another prefix that aligns with how they now act.

[Ordinaire] Ordinaire are ones that are seen as normal, not that cooperative yet not insane or sadistic. Many subjects are classified as Ordinaire but this tends to only last for only a few months as most subjects go insane and will be put in a different category.

[Aleatoire] This type of subject commonly are seen as psychotic and overall insane. Though this prefix is given to insane subject it can also be given to ones that are extremely unpredictable. In most cases it is the former seeing that insanity is very common among inmates.

The walls to every Aleatorie's cell are to be suicide proofed and a stronger magical field is to be place. Your section's officer of subject safety will decide if any further means of protection are required for the subject.

[Diable] Diable are subjects that have a murderous tendency or are seen as dark beings. Most likely the subject will act rather sadistically or are manipulative. Tests on Diable cannot be ordered by the section leader unless given permission by the board of the Deep Realm. This is to insure proper safety and that the board can make sure their escape is impossible.

Those that are manipulative and have a natural beauty that surpasses most other Vespergalians may be selected for the Vastrosa program. Note that if they have an empowering murderous trait that cannot be calmed they will not be allowed into the program.

Magical Ability

[Brindille] Brindille are the weakest of the weak in the Deep Realm. They have magical abilities that are simply average for Vespergalians. The only reason why such weaklings are placed in the Deep Realm is because they committed horrible crimes against Vespergale. Those who are classified as Brindille are to live in the upper levels of the Deep Realm in extremely tight quarters.

[Tresor] The Tresor are not humans but are items instead. Only objects can be given the title of Tresor. Such items could possibly include magical amulets and stone statues that have magic sown into their essence. Tresor are to be placed in small vaults in the item wing of the Deep Realm.

[Passif] Passif are beings that do not have strong offensive magic capabilities. They are instead people that have a passive ability that is unique to them. These can range from a natural healing ability to driving those around them insane.

[Sandu] These are the second most common Deep Realm subject right being Brindille. Sandu are beings that have been tested for their magical abilities and have been found to have more magical power than that of a average Vespergalian professor. Most of the time Sandu aren't anything special but if they have the appropiate traits may be put into a Deep Realm guard training program.

[Deces] Deces are those that can destroy a building with a swipe of their wrist. Being that they are highly dangerous and can have magical abilities rivaling that of the Deep Realm leitenants they should be put in complete and utter isolation. They're cells are to be much larger than other inmates but stored off in secluded sections of the Deep Realm and specialists are to always stand guard. Multiple layers of defense should be in place in the case of a magical barrier failure. Officers that do reports on Deces are to be as detailed as possible on their abilities and such.

Subject 13;

Behavior: [Diable]

Magical Ability: [Destructeur]

It suprises me that no form of documentation has been kept of subject 13. Seeing that subject 13, also known as Claudine by some is one of the most potentially dangerous beings within the Deep Realm. And what stuns me even more is that we cannot find any information on subject 1 through 12. It is assumed that they are hidden in a secret section of the Deep Realm that we do not know of.

Claudine would normally be classified as a full-lamia that has scales apparent covering her. But, from her large hands and what I can only call a claw it is safe to say she is a Charmant. Besides that she could be seen as a normal full-lamia. I will provide you with an image of her appearence along with this document.

She has immense magical energy, with some of our lower end guards able to sense it. The thing is the way she uses her magic. I cannot describe how many inmates we've sent in that were torn to shreads by her. And, it seems she fully enjoys doing it in a variety of ways.

Normally the inmate we send in is immediately frozen solid, we assume it is from fear. Beyond that what happens varies. Once the inmate quite literally exploded into a pool of blood with Claudine being completely still. We do not know how she can use magic without doing any of the respective movements. On other cases the inmate violently coughs up blood until they end of choking on it. But one of the strangest thing that she does is force the inmate to eat his or another inmates flesh. It is normal for the inmates that are sent in to be broken before she kills them.

It is rather strange, she has no known motive whatsoever for the killings. Not even to feast on like some of the beings kept in the lower reaches of the Deep Realm. We have never even have spotted it eat. Though she commonly goes to areas we can not view within her cell that is even larger than the royal palace itself. Like always I will be keeping you updated on her status.

Sadly I cannot supply any more information on her and would have to in person seeing that her classification would force anything else to be redacted beyond what I have stated above.

Subject 436;

Behavior: [Diable]

Magical Ability: [Deces]

Subject 436 was apprehended by Lieutenant Renold Barlon of the Special Deep Realm Investigation Unit, detachment of the Royal Guard. The subject was captured in a rural town of Balkesill near the capital. According to Renold's report it was laying on the floor of a shrine badly injured with another body close by that is assumed to have been killed by 436. It was then transported to the Deep Realm along with the body for further investigation.

We cannot give a concrete height on the subject as it varies. Most of the time it is a young lady, but has been spotted as a male on several occasions. The reason this can happen is that it can shift it's form, it is still under investigation of how it does so.

As of this report it's a lady with pale white skin, which is notable as everyone it has transformed to has a pale skin tone. It seems to be able to turn into people it has previously devoured, which it rarely eats how a standard person would, refer to paragraph four. And the subject's voice is altered depending on who it is disguised as.

With testing done on it we have deduced that it has a strange liking to organs of humanoid beings, but will ignore any form of animal. It first will attempt to seduce whomever we introduce into it's environment and then kill it. Though it has immense strength, enough to crush anyone's throat with a mere squeeze it uses another method. Oddly, it's body can quite literally open up at will which is rather disgusting. After separating tentacles emerge from it's body which it then proceeds to impale it's target with. Depending on the target's size it will kill it and then tear out the organs and eat each limb plus the organs separately or if it's small enough such as a child it will eat it alive. The method it uses to eat is by sucking the target into it's body and then closing it up.

Also, 436 can hold a regular conversation and has been proven to be intelligent. It can retain some of the memory of those it devours, the full extent to this is still unknown. Inside it's cell it commonly speaks about wishing to have infants and organs to feast upon, specifically the liver and heart. We feed it once a week with a criminal from one of the upper levels of the Deep Realm, where lesser criminals and magical beings are kept.

We still await your orders on which level to permanently place it, but I do understand your still assessing which would best suit it Captain John Lashearta. And, on a side note this creature could possibly serve our country quite well as it can dispatch with possible enemies then transform into them without a trace. The possibilities with 436 are endless. Anyway, I will keep you updated on 'her' status.

Subject 436 B;

Behavior: [Diable]

Magical Ability: [Sandu]

Last saturday something amazing happened to subject 436. During testing when we introduced an inmate into it's cell instead of murdering and devouring the inmate it instead knocked her out. It then proceeded to kiss the inmate, but during the kiss 436's seemed to have been pumping something out. Afterwords 436 continued on it's day pacing around the large cell.

We were quite astonished to what 436 did but then we realized what it has done. Later that day the body began to reanimate, which at first we thought was the inmate waking up. But a large tentacle much like that of 436 came out of the inmate. 436 had created a copy of itself and placed the 'offspring' into the inmates body.

Soon we started calling the newly create being 436 B and the previous one 436 A. 436 B seemed to be intelligent than 436 A and acted quite childish around it's counterpart. We can only assume this is because it has only retained some of what the inmate knew and required more people to eat. Also after a brief test we concluded that 436 B wasn't as powerful magically as 436 A.

Seeing that 436 A can somehow reproduce it has gotten me to wonder if this could somehow be weaponized. With the ability to assume the bodily shape of anyone they turned into it could prove a powerful asset for the future of Vespergale if we can convince them to side with us. For now I shall continue testing the two subjects.

Behavior: [Diable]

Magical Ability: [Deces]

Subject 2603 looks to be a very young girl in very formal attire, what many would call cute. Even though she has a humanoid appearence she is not a natural being at all, or well technically. She is in fact an automaton standing at 5'1". Inside her are moving parts of an automaton but her outer layer is human skin, and some of her organs are still intact. Whoever created her has practiced the illegal art of new-life fabrication.

Normally a new-life fabricated doll would require a master nearby to supply the being with magical energy in order to live, but 2603 is able to produce her own. What worries us is that someone is able to create such a doll, that can live without the assistance of an automaton master.

2603 is very violent every waking second away from her master, openly slaughtering every inmate we send in. She uses a strange form of wind magic, smashing people to the floor and sending them flying like a ragdoll. And for an automaton her intellect is very well devoloped, able to hold a conversation with our questioners.

Most every dialogue with her is basically her avoiding almost every question while asking to be released in order to see her master. All attempts to convince her to give her master's location have been futile. On rare occasions she will actually speak to us of things besides her wanting to see her master, but this is not that common. Further tries will be made to find the doll maker in question.

During one of our interagations we resorted to torture, though we thought it wouldn't have any affect on the automaton. We were proven wrong when she wailed to any pain administered to her. Never before have we seen an automaton be able to feel the emotion of pain, even a new-life fabrication.

What we are up against is a possible new threat. If the knowledge to be able to make such a powerful automaton that has the ability feel emotions gets out it can drastically change life in Vespergale as we know it. Captain, I recommend we have investigation and strike teams tracking down the creater of 2603 and apprehend him as soon as possible. Though seeing that the dolls are quite powerful the teams should all have an officer accompanying them.

Inmate Accounts

Within the many winding halls of the Deep Realm a young Flügel was safety secured in large metal shackles, being escorted to a cell for testing. The guards were wearing black cloaks that stretched around them fully which made the Flügel unable to see what kind of weaponry they held. Upon their heads were metal helmets that matched the color of the cloak and a thin plate of steel covered their faces. Small holes punctured into the masks of the face ominously were barred. Each of the guards lacked wings and stood at a height of nearly seven feet tall. And when they spoke it was only for brief moments when needed.

"Where are you t-taking me?" Asked the Flügel frightfully. No response was given but the violent tugging of the chains that bound her to the guards. All she could do was gulp as she passed by darkened doors that must've been each a foot thick. But the walls seemed to have a blue shine, this was because of the magical barrier that prevented the use of magic in order to escape from the Deep Realm. "I'm going to be killed aren't I?" She thought for a moment looking at corridor behind her that she was forced to march through.

She continued thinking in her head, "I don't want to die, God I don't want to die.[/i]" The Flügel girl began to shed tears knowing of where she will most likely be taken, "I'm going to be killed, for a damned t-test." The guards weren't fazed by the tears rolling down her cheek and merely continued on with their pace. Then she began to look around in a panic as she started hearing cries of pain in the distance.

Not able to take this anymore she tried to break away from the chains yelling out, "I don't want to die!" One of the guards trailing behind her smacked his fist into the back of her skull, forcing her to the ground. He then retracted his arm softly kicking the Flügel. She curled up crying, some blood streaking down from the back of her head. But because of her bindings she was unable to reach up to feel her newly given wound. And for some time she simply cried on the floor, the guard every once in a while kicking her as a signal to get up.

Eventually the guard resorted to picking her up instead of waiting around for her to calm down. "L-let go!" She whined trying to kick at the guard in a frenzy. It had no effect on him as he just tightened his hold of her, squeezing her painfully. This was enough to force her to stop thrashing around. In her mind she was thinking, "I repent my sins, I repent! Damnit! Please, oh god, just please... I don't want to be killed. My family is waiting for me, I can't die. Oh God, please I beg you do something!" Her prayers would never be answered.

After a while they reached a primitive elevator and began using it to go down several levels. In the shaft of the elevator guards were stationed armed with rifles and machine guns. For this reason the elevator itself was purposefully opened in all directions to allow them to shoot in if needed. Once they reached the floor something wasn't right. It was wide and open, the gap seperating the doors was extremely long but this wasn't what was wrong. She could see something moving in the corner of her eye as she gazed around the room still in the arms of the guard. A strange feeling etched over her and she thought how the guards could possibly be here without going insane.

The air at this level was thiner, and there seemed to be a slight mist down the primary hallway. At the very end of the hall was a large set of doors that looked to be the size of a house. The door was covered in mystical markings of an unknown language. She could only pray she wouldn't end up there. Which she wouldn't as the guards would stop at a door halfway down the corrider. To the side of the metallic door that they arrived at were markings that read, "subject 1370."

Without the guards even touching the door it swung open and they quite literally tossed her after breaking off her chains. Quickly they shut it and locked it to insure she wouldn't come out. She sprung up yelling, thinking she was about to be mutilated by a beast of the Deep Realm but instead she found herself in an airlock-like room. There was a door behind her and a door infront. The door infront of her started making loud cranking sounds as it seemed to have broken it's seal against the wall. "I'm not going to open it," she thought backing away from it.

Minutes passed and then even hours of her staring at the door. It felt like the door was beginning to hiss at her, a knot tying itself in her stomache as she without noticing began reaching towards the door. Her palm pressed against the door but then thoughts of death reappared in her head. The Flügel bent her head down and puke the contents of her stomache onto the floor whilst shivering. Now feeling sickly she strode away from the door once again.

Time continued to tick by and intrigue filled her along with fear. She had heard that not all the subjects of the lower parts of the Deep Realm would harm you. So she decided to enter hoping that it would turn out to be a friendly subject. The Flügel lunged forwards pushing the door open and tumbled into the room. Loudly the door slammed shut behind her though no one was there to close it. Finally she began scanning the room to see if she could spot the subject.

The room had barely any lighting except for glass slits in the sides of the walls where she was getting watched by Deep Realm personnel taking note of everything that happened. And the floor to the room was strangly soft, and felt like fake grass upon her bare feet. With further examination she spotted a figure sitting down in the center of the room, the soft sound of crying coming forth from the being.

Soon the Flügel calmed down thinking that it was one of the young girls that were forced into the Deep Realm that were probably too young too even do basic math. Still, something was off about her which brought some uneasiness onto the Flügel. She took small steps towards the figure, trying not to make to make any sounds. And as she neared it, it was now clearly a girl just entering her teens, with clipped wings.

Her steps towards her shifted to sliding her feet on the ground as a deep fear sunk inside her. Something was wrong, she knew something was wrong. Tears started falling again as she thought it was a trap and that she would be killed. She thought she was about to die. The subject in the center of the room continued crying and even as she neared her the subject didn't move. This lack of a response made her feel somewhat better and she thought that the subject was harmless to her.

"She is just a young little girl? M-maybe I should comfort her," she moved as close as possible to the subject and then knelt down besides her. "Are you alright?" The Flügel's motherly instincts began kicking in as she reached her arm out to pat the subject. Little did she know this was a mistake. She froze for a moment shakily looking at the subject as it began to let out a creepy laugh.

She cried and wailed gripping her right arm falling helplessly to the ground yelling, "no! No!" As she loosened her grip for but a moment her forearm fell free from her body, blood spraying about. Her arm looked to have been cleanly sliced by a blade yet the subject in the center of the room barely moved. The Flügel's eyes were wide open and her pupils as small as a speck of dust she twisted and contorted to the pain of losing her arm.

A line of cuts began making it's way from what remained of her arm and climbed up to her neck. No more yelling and cries were heard from the Flügel, the only sound remaining was the subject's laughter. The head of the inmate that was sent into the cell began rolling away from her body... she had been decapitated...
