When we found out about the purge, we said this to the international community.

“We wake up now, rise to a world different than the one we inhabited when last awake. Our sleep has been fitful and disturbed and, at the time, we knew not why. Seeing the turmoil and devastation today, in the morning light, we have come to realise what has transpired. To those struggling to revive what was lost, we wish you every fortune in that endeavour. To those who have taken such a blow, as to make standing up an impossibility, we say goodbye and fair well, may you find happiness out there.

We do not comment on whether or not this purge, as it has come to be called, was just. We simply hang our heads in sadness. As a result of what has happened, we, Mzeusia, will cease all international communication until the beginning of the next month, effective immediately.

Thank you for reading.”

We will post this on the RMB but will not reply to anything.

International communication will indeed not commence until after that date but we believe that, in the meantime, we must mark this sad event. The fact that they have done something wrong does not prevent sadness for they will never be able to do things right. They will never brighten days, nor build their nations nor recover what they have lost. For the nations who cannot return, we are especially saddened. They were not bad, only made mistakes. They were fun and merry. They were good, kind people.

When a nation no longer exists, their flag is replaced by a symbol. That symbol is an obelisk. In this way, a monument has already been built for them, the second they cease to exist. This is a comforting thought. We, Mzeusia make this dispatch to remember those fallen nations. To honour the good times that were had in their presence. We shall tend to their gravesite. We will place fresh flowers and clean the obelisk. They build great things and those things will not be forgotten.

We hereby announce the formation of a group that is to be called “The Grave Watchers”. The people in this group will have the task of maintaining the sites of the graves. They will make sure that the bodies of the nations lost, are guarded and comforted. We invite you to join and watch over those lost in the Purge. The Grave Watchers have a motto, is it “Forever remembering”.
