Rufus T. Perkins has announced that a further expansion to the west of Asgareth has occurred.

“At 0600 hours, the 2nd Western Asgarthian Expansionary Army moved swiftly to liberate a large area of tribal land.

Major Joci Tyin has kindly informed me that whilst there was a small display of hostile fire, these rogue elements were swiftly disposed off. Indeed, those that have remained have embraced their new Asgarthian heritage, and have revelled in the new possibilities they face.
This land will be used for the relocation of any displaced refugees from the war, whilst the border will be reinforced with the newly established XVI army, along with the IX air navy. It is also believed that the new base will house the Roman reinforcements who are currently awaiting deployment. The expansion fortifies our links with the Valarisk, as we both look to destroy the Iryllian menace. The work and collaboration between our governments in Sodergaarde-Erdina is a real credit to both nations, and we hope a similar arrangement can be found in the new border.

Initially inhabited by the Drengali, in the 4th century, the area has been largely deserted since the 15th. Despite this, remannts of the Drengali tribe have remained, but Perkins reassured all Asgarthians that they would be warmly welcomed into Asgareth, much like other members of their tribe were back in the 6th century.

“All Drengali will be wiped from the face of the earth, and then shot.” He stated, before his aide promptly rushed to his side. "And then reincarnated, only to be shot again." He finished.
With promises such as those, there is no good reason for the Drengali not to embrace their Asgarthian heritage.

The sudden switch of attention, meanwhile, from Epilo to Rusina, may mark a dramatic shift in the priorities of the Asgarthian government. Indeed, the decision to reinforce the west, suggests a grand offensive may well be planned.

Our military correspondent, Elwin James, has suggested that it is highly likely the Asgarthian forces will force their way back into Iryllia, and be in the capital within the month. However, James stressed this was just speculation, and that it should not be taken for fact.
