Credit (cr)

The Credit is the main monetary unit used by the United States of Indonesia as its currency. Before the use of credits, the country used the old Rupiah currency. But, during the economic crisis that made Rupiah no longer favored to the nation, the government decided to change the currency.

At first, the currency suggested to replace the Rupiah are the US Dollar, Chinese Yuan, & the British Pounds. But, someone suggested a new currency called the Credit. It's still debated who was the one suggested the use of Credit as the replacement of Rupiah. But, the government decided to choose Credit as the replacement of Rupiah. Not only they changed the currency, they also changed the method of using money. The government replaced conventional paper & coin money with cards & e-wallets. The use of cards to replace money has been growing slowly due to the technology & infrastructure problems. The e-wallets are in form of mobile e-wallets, which means it uses mobile devices, such as smartphones & tablets alike to serve as the host of the wallets.

Now, the Credit are commonly used among the populace in every corner of the country. But, somewhat the government still allows the use of paper money (not the coins) due to several reasons. People who owned the Rupiah currency are allowed to exchange them to the credit in banks across the country.
