Food and Drugs of Nerodanus[WIP]

Neroian food is one of an ever changing style. For years under the rule of the Monarchs the people starved, getting by with bland food and whatever they could scrap together. Fish was a common diet as was any animal that could be hunted using makeshift bows, arrows, and spears. The Revolution brought a change to that, allowing for people to reimagine Neroian cuisine. Sandwiches became a massive market, with many family owned shops popping up, combining the various meats, cheese, and other food in with bread. Better profits allowed for farmers to resume growing the more cold tolerant fruits and vegetables. The abundance that came in the following years fueling this tasteful revolution.

Many old foods came to a small return. Beef Stroganoff and Shashlyk became popular foods easily available to many, with the latter becoming commonplace in some street vendors in major cities. Pelmeni dumplings had been reimagines with different fillings, largely developing into a donut like treat popular among sweet tooth's. Various foods were influenced by foreign chefs who came to preach healthy eating, with Ceaser salad becoming popular thanks to Plyrican chefs. Germerian chefs brought in sausages and hot dogs, and various deserts coming in from Razonica. New Scotland brought in new Fish recipes, and Tuna became widely popular. Zefir saw a return as a popular treat among children while Vodka, Kvass, Medovukha, and other drinks saw a return in production and exportation, as new drinks from other nations came in. Futrellian Soda also entered into Nerodanus, along with some fast food.
