Leon Rosander (Born Leon Daniel Erengisle Solomonson: April 6th, 1983) is a Valwegian physician, socialist revolutionary, theorist and statesman, who has served as the 1st President of Vallway, since coming to power on May 16th, 2015. Additionally, he succeeded Emanuel Sohlmann as Technical Secretary of the Maximalist Party of Socialist-Republicans on January 21st, 2015. Previously, Rosander was a member of the Valwegian Republican Convention, a prominent republican activist, Commanded the Republican Army throughout the course of the Revolutionary War, and is often considered to be the founding father of Republican Vallway.
Ideologically a republican, radical socialist and Marxist, Rosander has undertaken a number of ambitious programs since taking office, meant to restructure Vallway into a socialist republic. This includes the mass collectivization of industries and agriculture, nationalizing Vallway's banks and essential services, abolition of the Monarchy, noble titles, and the secularization of Vallway. He has also made a number of strides towards achieving social justice; recognizing the rights of Valwegian aboriginals, legalizing gay marriage, and making numerous strides towards improving women's and minority rights.
