Leaders Journal. One in a million.

People think I am mad for trying to track ever last rock and prepare for deflecting them. The dumbo that suggested "Star Battle Missiles" doesn't understand what it would actually take. At least I'll know when to facepalm.

But systems for tracking every last rock, also has to identify what they are made of. We can revel in the wonder of the secrets our solar system hides. By developing cheap, reusable and more reliable space vehicles, we can reach those rocks. By being able to reach those rocks we can send probes. If we can send probes, we can look to develop space industries.

Why space industry?

Somethings can only be made in microgravity, but more than that, it may be a good idea to move what heavy industry we can there. At least in space the pollution cannot seep into the environment... It can be dealt with. Plus, thinking long term, those same faculties can produce solar power collectors and we can beam the power down.

It won't be as incredibly efficient and may need large arrays, but one thing space has plenty of... Is space.

On a glorious side note, we'd also have the equivalent of an orbital death ray :D
