Official Region Rules (Valid for the Confederacy, the Union, and Riskivilization)

First and most importantly, in this game, nobody knows anything about anyone else in real life, even if they actually do (unless they directly talk to each other through telegrams, which cannot be seen by anyone else). Do not say anything about yourself unless you are talking to someone that you personally know outside of the game through a telegram, or someone you have a large amount of trust in. Never say anything about anyone else to another player regardless of anything.

Second of all, do try to keep your nation realistic. Most nations use the provided NationStates statistics with only a few exceptions. See here for more:

NationStates tax rates are completely ridiculous. They are often way too high to be what a government of a certain size would take from the citizens.

Given this, the real tax rate of every nation in the Confederacy of Free Lands, The Union of Religious Nations, and Riskivilization is equivalent to the Government sector in the Economy tab. We feel that this number is much more true to the tax rate, as this is how much the government spends as a portion of the economy and would realistically be how much they would need to take from the citizens.

As such, the NationStates statistics of Average Disposable Income, Freedom from Taxation, and Taxation are hereby rendered null and void.

Anything stated out of character, such as a promise, cannot be broken in game.

This is a role playing region, so do not take anything too seriously as a nation is likely just playing a part (unless they state otherwise).

One last thing, do try to refer to everyone's nations "in character" (use the nation's leader's name instead of just calling someone the name of their nation, or worse, their real name), and try not to break character unless absolutely necessary (but even then, do not use any real names, just ask us to telegram with you). If a nation has no set leader, just ask them what the leader's name is.

Otherwise, aside from the obvious rule of "treat the other players kindly," that is basically it.

Our world encompasses four regions: The Confederacy of Free Lands, The Union of Religious Nations, Riskivilization,, and The North African Arab Revolutionaries.

Anyway, I do hope you enjoy this strange political experiment that is our world! It can get quite interesting at times.
