CODE RAVEN - Third Age, Solar Year 1829

War raged on for days. Then months, then a full year. It never ended, and she was going to make sure it never did. Clouding Ravens vision became harder with every moment, every fresh breath of air filling her lungs added to the pressure that the betrayal of a god, made of pure energy, burdened her with.

But there was simply no longer an easy way out of this. They had come too far. She knew that he was blinded by his powers, often staying entire weeks on the battlefield, bathing in the pain and suffering of mindless monsters. This hunger for power must have been the reason Raven had chosen her to be the new Proxy, and not him, despite his many millenia as a warrior of highest ranks and supreme glory.
Raven was blind and had not talked for more than a year now. In her dreams, the Commander could still feel the presence of the dead stars power looming over her. And she was well aware that this blackout could not hold on forever. What Raven would do upon noticing that the power of the black hole was now shared between a male and a female of one and the same generation, no one could predict.

The Council grew more restless every single day. They dared not question the Commander, but there were whispers and rumours found among them. Talks of punishment, a war waged by the god that had guided their race since the dawn of time, now turning against them in blind rage. She kept Leisander away from those lies and speculations. His power was growing, as he killed off one alien species after another. The crystals made of light within his eyes shined now more powerful than every before, and fear had incapacitated the.Council, making them into willing tools to be used for warfare.

It was on a faraway planet, covered in a thick atmosphere of green and brown gas. The meaningless, weak insect civilisation had build their homes high into the skies, from where they travelled all across their planet with their silver wings. They had not fought wars before, as their leaders were weak and lacked the will or the heart to overlook their own material gain for the wellbeing of their race.
Upon studying the planet, researchers deciphered a message coming from the planets surface, sent towards another star system. The Captain looked worried upon hearing this, all the while a wide grin crept across Leisanders face.
Caivan, a federation of incredible manpower, spread across what they dubbed the ants nest of this galaxy. Insect-like people that have speciated over the course of many millenia of space exploration, it would seem.
But all of that didn't matter anymore. They were facing their extinction now. Thousands dead within seconds of the attack. Millions of bodies covered in chitin armour lay there, covered in the ashes of their own simple lives, stepped on by two mortals who lived as gods, even if only for this year.
When they reached the throne room, there was no beetle monarch sitting there. In his stead, a figure made from pure blackness sat on top of the empty corpses of what appeared to be an entire insect army.
And as the gods approached the figure in confusion, it revealed itself, the darkness that filled his head reforming itself into the many faces of the Commanders that came before her. At last, only one face remained. With a kind smirk fixed upon his lips, Leisanders father stood before them.

You know what you have done, Ramira, Leisander. You have broken the very foundation of law that I have built for you, my children. But as I am a god of good and not of evil, I shall give you your most intimate wishes. Ramira, I feel your fear. You shall not lose him. Leisander, I can feel your frustration. I will now take it all away from you, my children. I am Raven, and you shall be free like me.

And with that he reached up to the ceiling, just as a flame of blackness broke through the windows and the walls, streaming towards the two that had broken the Code. They were set free, far away, together, with only each other to resctrict their own freedom and cause their own pain.
But the people that had followed them, their people, were left behind. The children of Raven were alone for the first time, with their Commander set free and the voice of their God no longer sounding in their heads. They had been abandoned by Raven.
