History and Information

The Assembly of Nobles first convened on March 5th 1211 by King Dietrich I of Eastphalia. The Assembly acted as a temporary advisory council called in times of crisis but is now a permanent council that meets with the King on a weekly basis. The Council convened on 1211, 1345, 1633, 1775 and 1842. It did not survive the reforms brought about by Michael III and was replaced by the Privy Council, only being recently revived by Michael IV to act as a regular advisory committee.

Furthermore the Assembly of Nobles (Assemblée des Noblesse) is made up of high-ranking nobles, ecclesiastics, and state functionaries convened by the Emperor on a regular basis to consult on matters of state. The Assembly is filled with prominent men appointed for their social and professional standing or their skills to give counsel on the matters at hand. The role of the assembly is to advise the king on how to remedy governance issues brought up by the Estates-General.
The council is located in St. Michaelsburg opposite the Palais de Royale. The building has been renamed to the Palais-Noblesse.
