A rare image taken by a news reporter who also just happen to be in the Senate
Rome - Caesar; the Dictator of Rome, the Japeth of Rome, hero of the Gallic wars, has been stabbed by Roman Senators yesterday afternoon.
Despite being widely popular with the lower classes in Europe, Caesar didn't had the blessing to he loved by the cogitoscenti of politics, otherwise known as the elites of Rome. After him insulting most nations during a Senate session last week. People expected the nations insulted to respond with some kind of rebuttal. Well, we weren't expecting this type of rebuttal. According to autopsy reports Caesar was stabbed 5 times to the chest, suffered one gunshot wound, suffered 7 slashes to his shoulder which almost cut off his arm and one stab to the neck which ended his life.
The public outcry has been enormous as the public began sicing on people with the same name as senators who were presumably complicit with the murder. Tens of thousands of people entered Rome just to attend Caesar's funeral.
In light of the muder of Caesar, riots have targeted people who came from the countries which has denounced Caesar, notably 
Sperio and MineLegotia and Equestria, their people were hunted by the angry mobs. The MineLegoEquestriana fled the European Roman Nations en masse with most fleeing to 
United Entente, this has proved devasting to European universities and research groups with most of the MineLegoEquestrians being key players in the scientific world. Without them scientific progress would grind to a crawl, and with Sperioans also fleeing it has grinded to a halt, and to make things worse, driven by nationalism, MineLegoEquestrian scientists who's were working overseas brought most of their research home while destroying enough information on them so that no one else could research the projects.
Sperio, MineLegotia and Equestria, and Kamchakta, nations who had opposed Caesar have declared the renewal of the Roman Confederacy Treaty, intent on bringing back the former order of Rome.
Meanwhile, Japhetia has erupted into chaos as the houses begin fighting over control over the thrones. The lord protector, Orpheus, has called for an emergency council to decide the nation's next ruler.

Alba - Despite the emergency council's efforts, parts of Japhetia has revolted in hopes of putting their choice of leader on the throne, notably in Crimea where Beorn, a powerful Noble has rebelled against the nation. The Japhetian government had responded quickly by sending an army after the traitor who managed to win just by an inch thanks to intervention by Soviet socialists republicx's armed forces. The victory was short lived as 
MineLegotiponyian forces intervene via mass Pegasi assault on the forces in Crimea.
Despite the Soviet's confidence that their military equipment will defeat the Pegasi, they were routed along with the remnants of Beorn's military after two battles. The first was ended prematurely as strong winds that caught the Pegasi off guard let the Soviets and Japhetians prepare themselves for short while before the Pegasi returned with more ferociously, intent on finishing the battle. The second battle resulted in the crippling of the Soviet armed forces while the MineLegotiponyians move in and occupying Crimea.
At the beginning of the week Caesar captured Hera in the midst of reuniting with her husband Dodaneus. Caesar then banished Hera and made a publicity campaign haranguing the various Roman nobles for their short-comings and past transgressions. Caesar also continued to support the plebeian classes through all of Rome, greatly ingratiating himself to the common people of Rome and simultaneously drawing the ire of the Senatorial class. Caesar announced he would annex Egypt, and the Senators and various nobles of Rome finally came together in the conspiracy to assassinate Caesar. Meanwhile Lady Aslaug married a clone of her late husband Ragnar made in 
Salcanceacy and developed a conspiracy of her own to supplant Beorn as Elder of House Magog.
On the Ides of March as Caesar entered the Senate the various Senators of 21st Century Rome attacked Caesar and assassinated him on the Senate floor. Caesar suffered at least 11 various wounds. With his dying breath he revealed that he is Dodaneus' real father, and Hera put the final stab wound into his neck. Shocked by the revelation that Caesar was his father Dodaneus refused to join Hera. As a coalition of troops from Japhetia led by Lagertha, Kyrata, Sperio, and Kythorn of Sharstone arrived at the Senate, the conspirators fled.
The enraged Roman public began rioting and lynching any conspirators they could capture, though many managed to escape from Rome. A MineLegotian commonwealth citizen acquired the Mjolnir, the most powerful magical artifact in the RP. Caesar's funeral was held, and the public was pacified on the promises that his subsidies to the poor would continue as well as the presence of many legions fortifying Rome.
In the immediate aftermath of Caesar's death Queen Athena of MineLegotia and Equestria invaded Ionian Japhetia. This prompted a harsh response from Orpheus the Elder of Tiras and Lord Protector of Japhetia whom decimated the MineLegotian navy and airforce as it attempted to make a landing on Japhetia's capital city of Alba. Hera, whom fled to Egypt and the Levant has carved her own little nation and several villains from Salcanceacy and troops from MineLegotia in Syria and Iraq joined Hera. Hera began invading southern Turkey and fought Queen Athena one on one, nearly killing MineLegotia's Queen, whom was saved in a timely manner by a Pegasus.
Lady Aslaug made her play for power and announced her marriage to the clone of Ragnar and thus claimed legitimacy to rule House Magog, resulting in the House of Magog splitting into two faction supporting either Beorn or Aslaug. The two sides faced off in the first battle of Philippi and Hvitserk was killed in the battle, but Lady Aslaug managed to prevail. Another battle was fought on the Crimean Peninsula between Beorn and Aslaug and the Ragnar clone was killed personally by Beorn. The battle was close, but for the timely arrival of Soviet socialists republicx Beorn managed to survive and his half-brother Sigurd even defected to his side. However the victory was short-lived as MineLegotian pegasi troops treacherously invaded and began attacking the tired defenders. Beorn prayed and promised to become a Christian and Bishop Patrick showed up secretly wielding the Spear of Destiny which he borrowed from Third romanus and drove the MineLegotians away for the time being with a miraculous storm (but we all know them ponies will always be back).
A council was held in Japhetia to name the next leader of the country, but the various parties instead split into several factions supporting either Livia and Caesar's grandson Germanicus Jr., Alexander the Elder of House Javan, Perseus and Dodaneus, or Athena and MineLegotia. The various factions returned to their provinces and began raising armies to press their claims to the throne (coming next week).
OOC new maps were made and the nations of Sharstone, Soviet socialists republicx,

As for future plans, there's no real future plans, it's all just war for the rest of March until Hera's defeat at the end of the month and I resign as Caedile and someone new steps up to become the new RP Masta. The throne of Japhetia and control of the RP hangs in the balance.
