The economy of Shoodin is still primitive in nature, and the largest industry on the island is Basket Weaving. The tradition of this craft goes back to the early days of the tribe, and these baskets carry a strong cultural influence with them. Automotive manufacturing is also a relatively large industry, and this occurred after the industry as a whole became under attack as imported automobiles became overwhelmingly popular, causing the local industry to lose influence. Tariffs were instated to prevent the inevitable collapse of the automotive industry, and the industry thrives to this day.
