N'ghathg & C'bthnk

N'ghathg is a civic holiday celebrated every winter solstice, where civilians commemorate an agreement between Azathoth and Conanae's leader. Azathoth, in exchange for Conanae's survival, must pay reverence to Azathoth on the winter solstice. The second day of N'ghathg, called C'bthnk, is about Shub-Niggurath becoming one with the old leader of Conanae, becoming one being. Both days are traditionally celebrated by staying awake during all 48 hours, drinking local alcohol, and giving gifts to one another. While in the country of Conanae during the week of these holidays (starting on the solstice and a week after), it is night; thus, everyone in Conanae is seen adorned by lights, whether it be candles, lanterns, or fire. The people of Conanae also don't act necessarily human during this time and will have a lack of moral sense, most likely being the reason for Conanae's sudden rise in population. Ever since the spike in population, businesses have capitalized on this holiday by selling drugs, alcohol, and whatever else to citizens to prepare.

During the week, nobody comes to work or has any obligation to do anything besides what their whims tell them. The week after is a resting period, and more of a classic praying week to Azathoth and Shub-Niggurath, allowing the sun to rise, the civilians of Conanae to regain their senses, and to restart the country's economy, essentially. These two weeks are the only truly religious ones, with any other religious traditions stemming from these holidays, and the gods they pay homage to.
