History of Kuul Bjadam's Covenant

Formation

Background
After the Human-Covenant War, many anti-human factions arose out of the Covenant's demise, leading to a surge of Covenant splinter factions. One of these, and for a long time the largest of them, was under the command of Jul 'Mdama, a former shipmaster. A former field marshal, Kuul Bjadam, and his followers linked up with 'Mdama and his Covenant and were absorbed into it. For a few months, things went smooth. However, after a few months Bjadam and his closest followers discovered that 'Mdama was secretly an atheist and did not believe in the Covenant's religion. Bjadam labeled him a heretic and led his starship of followers away from 'Mdama's Covenant to strike out on their own.

Arrival at the Divine Monolith
Eventually, Bjadam's starship, a CCS-class battlecruiser, came upon an ancient untouched Forerunner battlestation. The battlecruiser docked at one of the smaller hangar bays and scouting parties were dispatched to explore the station. When the ship's parties returned with a holomap and confirmed there were no other life forms or threats aboard, Bjadam made his way to to the main hangar bay of the battlestation with many of his followers behind him. When they arrived, Bjadam announced that their arrival on this battlestation marked the beginning of his Covenant, professing to revive Covenant religion and destroy all those who betrayed the true path of the Covenant. He named his new home, the battlestation, the Divine Monolith and thus Bjadam's Covenant was born.

Militarization Efforts

Gathering the Faithful
After Bjadam's Covenant was established, recruiting parties were sent out to major Sangheili worlds and colonies. Eventually, many thousands and thousands of soldiers joined up with Bjadam, bringing with them their ships and armaments. With all of the old Forerunner tech left in the Divine Monolith, Bjadam was able to trade and sell a great amount of goods in order to raise funds for his now-growing military. After a year or so, Bjadam announced the mandatory attendance of his new Ranger School, which had involved every Non-Commissioned Officer and soldier. This created Bjadam's new Ranger Corps which was essentially every non-commissioned member of his army. However, fleet security non-commissioned troops were allowed to refrain from Ranger School. Ranger School was kept as a mainstay and any new recruits that weren't going to serve as a Grunt or Jackal in fleet security or a higher-up Elite officer were required to take part.

Excavation of the Weapons Cache
After some time, Bjadam dispatched a number of his ships (which consisted mostly of CRS-class light cruisers and heavy corvettes by then) to go on a mission to hold and secure an old Covenant space installation. When this search party arrived, they came to the conclusion that this installation was a major weapons cache. Not only was it chock-full of small arms; heavy arms; vehicles; and more light cruisers and heavy corvettes, but it also contained a number of ORS-class heavy cruisers. On top of this, hundreds upon hundreds of Huragok were also found and were taken by the Covenant. Huragok had become invaluable to the Covenant as they were the only species skilled enough to be able to maintain and repair Covenant ships. This scavenge was seen as a great victory and one of the heavy cruisers was dubbed the "Instrument of Piety" and made the official flagship of the Covenant fleet.

Further Development
After the excavation, Bjadam's Covenant continued to build up their military. More personnel were recruited, more ships were either found or bought, more funds had been piling up. Bjadam's Covenant, although near-invisible to the outside world, was slowly becoming a more and more effective fighting force every passing day. Bjadam also had a spy network up and running with a small number of agents inside the Swords of Sanghelios and Jul 'Mdama's Covenant passing onto him whatever knowledge they got their hands on. Bjadam even managed to tap into 'Mdama's Covenant battlenet and essentially was updated through there. And as all this was going on, Bjadam still managed to solidify his rule over his Covenant, even spreading his own ideas of the Covenant religion to his followers (for example: the Prophets became an apostate race, those who follow the Arbiter make a pact with demons, etc).

Emergence

'Mdama's Death
Following the conclusion of the Battle of Kamchatka and the subsequent death of Jul 'Mdama, Bjadam's Covenant saw the disarray that came after as a green light to come out into the open. After spending years lurking in the depths of the Covenant battlenet, Bjadam's agents flooded it with propaganda for his own Covenant. Just as the battlenet flared up with news of 'Mdama's death and orders to regroup at Sunaion, Bjadam's Covenant also claimed that they were on the rise and they had a military of their own with a place for those who saw the remnants of 'Mdama's Covenant as a dead end. As the chaos ensued, it was reported that several Covenant shipmasters and their crews defected to Bjadam's side while the remainder would head over to Sunaion under the command of Kitun 'Arach. The surge of new recruits under Bjadam's wing were immediately put into a retraining process and were then assigned to ships Bjadam had in reserve. Some of the ships Bjadam already had at the ready were dispatched to Sanghelios and set up field bases not far from Sunaion, preparing battlegroups to be used on the field against the enemy factions at Sunaion.

Fall of Sunaion
The initial plan to invade Sunaion at the same time as the Swords of Sanghelios was changed up as the revelation of a Guardian present was made known to Bjadam. Instead, as the Swords of Sanghelios broke through 'Mdama's Covenant's defenses, Bjadam's Covenant mobilized their ground forces and moved into Swords of Sanghelios territory, performing an offensive push on the undermanned Sword bases. The flagship of Bjadam's fleet, the ORS-class heavy cruiser Instrument of Piety, dropped off Bjadam's personal bodyguard Vort 'Abduk and Ranger Commander Peth 'Rjadt along with the latter's Grunt sidekick Brapzap and one hundred of the most dangerous Elite Rangers into the aftermath of Sunaion and the teleportation of the Guardian. They wasted no time killing off whatever survivors remained in the wreckage of the city. Eventually, the Arbiter sent a Swords force four hundred strong to engage 'Rjadt's force but were sent scattered once the Instrument of Piety dropped off three battlegroups armed to the teeth. After the Swords fled and the dead city of Sunaion belonged to Bjadam's Covenant, what remained of the Covenant forces in Sunaion were sent back to the Instrument of Piety and regrouped with the rest of Bjadam's fleet, the Fleet of Unyielding Solace before the fleet begun to glass Sunaion as a show of force.

Military Incursions
On Sanghelios, a bloody battle raged on between Bjadam's army and the Swords of Sanghelios. Although 'Mdama's Covenant was beaten, Bjadam's was only just getting started, especially with many shipmasters that fought on Sunaion and Kamchatka having defected to Bjadam's Covenant. The fresh troops that Bjadam's Covenant dispatched on the ground along with the numerically greater starships under Bjadam easily begun to put a lot of pressure on the Arbiter's forces until the Created revolted. At that point, Bjadam saw that the Swords of Sanghelios had had entrenched their forces in that area and were holding out until reinforcements would arrive. However, the Created had revolted and they were on the warpath for those who wouldn't submit, so he ordered his fleet to regroup and return to the Divine Monolith to further improve on growing their numbers. After the Created revolted, Bjadam's Covenant would make minor incursions outside of the Monolith but would primarily focus on gathering more soldiers and ships.
