How to judge Southfield's Quality of Life Ranking (QOL Score)

The QOL Score is an internationally used system created by the Citadel to judge nations on the basis of development, or how high the quality of life was for each nation's citizens. The ranking takes into consideration several aspects, such as accessibility of healthcare, the quality of public services, protection of civil liberties, economic freedom, and happiness of the population overall. (The ranking for each nation is updated every six months, and takes into account only roleplay statistics, not WA or NS statistics)

Rankings 5.9 - 5.0:

Nations that reach the 5.9 scale through the 5.0 scale are considered highly developed, free, nations with a happy populace. Nations with easy access to quality public services, healthcare, and other amenities will receive this ranking. Nations with this ranking are also, most generally, democratic nations where citizens have high trust in the ability of its government to lead, with little corruption. Nations who have reached this ranking also generally have high salaries for their people.
Famous nations with this ranking in the roleplay world are Wintermoore and Averra, who are social democracies with high amounts of development and stringent protections for their citizens. Nations in the real world that would have this ranking would be nations such as Norway, Sweden, or Denmark, due to generally high trust in government, ease to access in healthcare, and having a free democracy.

Rankings 4.9 - 4.0:
Nations that fall within the 4.9 through 4.0 rankings are considered free democracies with fair access to public services such as healthcare or other public amenities. Usually nations with larger populations that cannot provide equal access to citizens easily fall within this ranking. Democratic government and extensive civil rights are generally what defines nations in this ranking.
Nations in the roleplay world who fall within this category would be Jerrette, Omya Alora, and Davintharia, who generally have large populations which makes it hard to provide high quality services to all of their population equally. Nations in the real world who would receive this ranking would be the United States and Germany, due to their upholding of democratic ideals, but lack of readily available public resources, such as healthcare, wages, or public transportation, due to size of land or population.

Rankings 3.9 - 3.0:
Nations within the 3.9 - 3.0 scale are considered partly free democracies. Generally nations in this category have lack luster civil rights protections for citizens, specifically minorities, low wage or economic growth, and bad access to quality public services. Usually nations that are considered "emerging economies", or nations emerging out of civil or international conflict will fall in this category. Nations that would fall within this standard would be Arabay.
Real world nations with this ranking would be nations such as Kazakhstan or India, who are either generally emerging economies, with public amenities not readily available to everyone, and with some amount of repression of ethnic and religious groups, or mistreatment of women's rights.

Rankings 2.9 - 2.0:
Generally nations with a 2.9 - 2.0 ranking generally have high levels of economic development, but at the expense of high repression of civil and political rights. Generally single party states would fall into this category.
