LC Interview with MoFA Omega

On a warm evening, by the raging bushire, our glorious Local Councillor, Beepee, sat down with the maestro of Foreign Affairs, United federated states of omega, for a good ole chinwag...

Hi Omega, what a glorious evening! Let's start with some questions about your role as Foreign Affairs Minister.... How are you enjoying being MoFA?

It is a blast! Honestly my dream role in TSP and I am so glad it is as great as I imagined.

Thats so awesome! I'm glad you've loved it... That are your biggest successes and biggest regrets in the role?

The biggest victory had to be getting the treaty with XKI over the finish line and passed into law.

I can't go into much detail on what I wish I had done but there were a couple agreements that haven't quite yet come to fruition.

How's it been working the Cabinet?

It has been a lot of fun. A great group of people and a lot of people I have respected for a long time so I felt privileged and humbled to be at the same table, so to speak, as them.

How did you feel when Amerion resigned and Heliseum 'vanished'?

I will always say Real Life comes before NS. Always. They did what they needed to do and I respect them for that.

That's so true, RL always comes first. How awesome is Erinor /Seraph?

We all know the answer. He's simply incredible to work with.

What's the one thing you didn't expect about your MoFA job?

How little I could get done. You come in with big ideas and lofty expectations and none of it will happen. The funny thing is I still look around and think "this has been a good term."

How do people get involved in MoFA if they're interested?

Reach out to whoever the minister is. We almost always have a place to send you as an ambassador.

People love a good ol' tale, tell us a story about some of your funniest/least fun times in NS.

I remember one key not so fun time.

Those new to the game may not know this but back in 2016 I was Chair of the Assembly. I was actually still in high school at the time and was probably not ready for the role and a lot of my duties fell to the way side (a lot of what LegComm does now was done by the CoA.)

People started looking at it all and realized I hadn't been doing what I needed to and so they filed a motion to recall me. I took a look at the data they brought forward and realized they were right so I resigned.

I have not felt more defeated than I did in that moment. I will say now, however, that the experience of resigning has only made more humble and made me realize I needed to be prepared for any future office I might have.

So when I decided I wanted to be MoFA I decided about a year ago I would learn as much I could, meet as many people as possible and think a lot about what I would do if elected. The moment I won election into this role felt like a redemption and like I had been given a second chance.

So every day I try to make sure not to take that second chance for granted because I remember where I came from and it has only made this summit more special.

What would you like to do next in your role? Will you run again in next election?

Well it is a bit late for that question I think but just make sure we have great relationships with as many regions as possible so whoever comes next has an easier job.

I will not be commenting on the second part of that question.

What do you wish for TSP?

I hope to see TSP be regarded as a great superpower. I know we can be, I just hope I stick around long enough to see that day come.

Do you know we all love you?

Y'all are all much to kind.

Kind, but true. Now for some quick fire questions.

MoFA, MoFA, in the hall, Who is the fairest Local Councillor of them all?

Oh I'm not going to answer that one.

How dare you! (The correct answer is Zess !)

If you could be any other TSPer who would you want to be?

All the people I would say are still in the game so I don't think I will answer this one.

I'll say this: the best TSPers are the ones who welcome the new players and mentor them because they see something in them. That's something I hope I get the opportunity to do as I get more experienced in the game.

What's your favourite movie, song, or book?

Movie: Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Extended Edition
Song: Appalachian Spring
Book: For Whom the Bell Tolls

Who is your favourite real world politican/sports personality/actor/actress? And Why?

Politician: John McCain. Always stuck to his values and loved the country I too have the privilege to call home.
Sports Personality: Ed Ogeron. Geaux Tigers.
Actor: Tom Hanks. I mean come on he's the GOAT.
Actress: Hellen Mirren

Nice choices, I love Helen Mirren. What's your spirit animal and why?

An owl. Always calm and slow to anger but aggressive when wise.

What's your Favourite SPIT flavour?

Cake or Pie?

Pie. I just had cake so my answer will change at some point after having just had pie.

Down with the pieletariat!

If an asteroid was whizzing towards us on earth and you were asked provide one thing from TSP to be saved for all posterity, what would you save?

The RMB. It is a vibrant community where so many great legislators have come from. I'm sure they would rebuild TSP to be a great region.
