Litherusk Restaurants Frequented by Members of Diamonil Sortition Parliament Begin Hiring Bouncers

Following reports of members of the public engaging in petty assaults against members of the Diamonil Sortition Parliament while parliamentarians were at meals, some of the restaurants in Litherusk have had their employment rolls expanded to include bouncers. "Our system of government is supposed to include the common voice, but that doesn't require us to look the other way about the safety of people chosen for a term of parliament. That's part of the beauty of sortition; the parliamentarians already are the common voice," said a Steelfeather bureaucrat commenting on the new rules.

As the problem was not substantially prevalent before, it is also not expected to be very prevalent in the future. Some of the more austere restaurants have celebrated the resultant more orderly atmosphere, as have some of the more refined ones; however, the staff of the venerable three story "Fritters and Fricasees" building have complained that they don't have uniforms that fit muscular gryphons and that having bouncers on staff is chilling their warm family atmosphere.
