MINE RESISTANT AMBUSH PROTECTED VEHICLES (MRAP)

M-ATV (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected All-Terrain Vehicles) Oshkosh 4x4: 6.000 vehicles.
Armament: 1 x 12.7mm M2 machine gun or 1 x 7.62mm M240 machine gun or 1× 40 mm Mk 19 grenade launcher or 1 x Javelin Antitank missile launcher. The M-ATV SFV is equipped with a remote weapons station which is armed with a 12.7 mm heavy machine gun.

Mission: Caiman is a high mobility, heavily armoured multi-theatre vehicle (MTV). The Caiman MTV is the perfect balance of interior capacity, tactical mobility and survivability required for troop transport, command and control and medical units. The Caiman MTV is 95 percent commonality with tactical wheeled vehicle. The vehicle can operate in extreme temperature changes, mountainous terrains and poor road infrastructure, as well as in both hot and cold environments.

Mission: Mine Protection / Enhanced Survivability; Reconnaissance (RECCE); Security / Defense / Law Enforcement / Convoy Escort; Utility. The base Buffalo chassis is fully adaptable and can fulfill other battlefield roles such as MEDical EVACuation (MEDEVAC) unit.

The Buffalo MRAP has a large articulated robotic arm, used for ordnance disposal. This hydraulically operated arm is used to handle suspicious items from a distance. It is fitted with an armed day/night video camera. Crew can safely investigate anything the arm can reach. The robotic arm is used to probe, remove or place destruction charges near possible landmines.
