Nobiltà Cristina

The nobility of Cristina (Cristinese: Nobiltà Cristina) comprised individuals and their families of the city of Cristina, and the regions historically linked with it, recognized by sovereigns, such as the LinkHemus emperors, the Holy Synod, the kings of Cristina, and certain other Cristinese sovereigns, as members of a class of persons officially enjoying hereditary privileges which distinguished them from other persons and families. They often held lands as fiefs and were sometimes endowed with hereditary titles or nobiliary particles. From the Middle Ages until 1714, Cristina was not an independent country but an autonomous city of Mantella named Saint Christ. The various Mantellan Noble houses were often related through marriage to each other and to other LinkEuropan royal families. Some of those Mantellan families contested for the control of the city of Saint Christ, which ended in the Korvini's hands in 1182. With the Korvini and it's cadet branches came many other vassal families.

Official recognition of the nobility ceased in Mantella with the creation of the Second Republic of Mantella in 1990, however titles of nobility are still used as courtesy titles in the country and are fully recognized in Cristina.

As was customary in the old Kingdom of Mantella the Korvinis organised their family ties within a corporation called albergo. In the political reform led by King Danic II of Mantella, the Korvini became one of the 18 alberghi of the Kingdom of Mantella, which included the Valentini and Pomarola families, and to which other families were formally invited to join.

At last four of the seven members of the Crown Council of Cristina are to be members of the Nobilità.

The official ranks under the Kingdom of Cristina are:

• Re/Regina (King/Queen)
• Principe/Principessa (Prince/Princess)
• Duca/Duchessa (Duke/Duchess)
• Marchese/Marchesa (Marquis/Marquise)
• Conte/Contessa (Count, Earl/Countess)
• Visconte/Viscontessa (Viscount/Viscountess)
• Barone/Baronessa (Baron/Baroness)
• Nobiluomo/Nobilidonna (Nobleman/Noblewoman)
• Cavaliere ereditario/Dama (Baronet, hereditary knight/Dame
• Patrizio/Patrizia (Patrice)
