[background-block=#045fb4][hr][center][size=200][color=#dfecff]Press Release #1[/size][/center][hr][size=150][center][b]June 2020 General Election Results[/b][/center][/color][hr][/background-block][/size][size=125][b][box][region]Thaecia[/region][/b] recently conducted its [b]June 2020 General Elections[/b], in which the region elected a [b]President[/b], [b]Prime Minister[/b], and legislators to both its 11-member [b]House of Commons[/b] and its 7-member [b]Senate[/b]. The Elections were marked by a record-breaking turnout, a relatively clean and civil campaigning period, and a high level of engagement between voters and candidates. A total of [b]97 ballots[/b] were cast, and there were [b]3 candidacies[/b] each for the prime ministry and presidency, [b]22 candidacies[/b] for the House of Commons, and [b]15 candidacies[/b] for the Senate. [b]9 debates[/b] were held in the course of the campaign season -- 3 each for the presidency, the premiership, and the legislature. It goes without saying that none of this would have been possible without the hard work of the Election Commission and the dedication and engagement of Thaecia's citizenry.
