Many areas had their own names for the days of the week until Reultan's new republican parliament adopted the same system used in many other languages, honouring the seven classical celestial bodies.

The calendar reform of 1818 standardized the month names to animal names, followed by the suffix '-ḿos' (month).
The seasons are each named after a characteristic of that time of year, followed by the suffix '-raithe' (season), and have been since the early 12th century. The traditional Reultanian year ran from the beginning of March to the end of February until 1818.

Statutory holidays are legislated by the federal government. While an 1818 secularization law forbade religious holidays, whether they be Christian, Judaic or Pagan, the Constitution of 1919 reestablished the holiday calendar with several Celtic holidays. There are currently 14 statutory holidays in Reultan.
