Standard of living in New Peoples Empire

Many consider New Peoples Empire as a world superpower, both militarily and economically, and with good reason. But for many nations, this comes at the cost of their citizens standard of living. However, this is not the case here. So what is it like to live in New Peoples Empire?

HOUSING
There is zero homelessness in New Peoples Empire. Housing is guaranteed, and provided by the state. The standard housing is a one-bedroom apartment for couples and those who live alone, and a two-bedroom for those with children. However, many families purchase more traditional housing with their salaries.

EMPLOYMENT
Every Imperian citizen is guaranteed employment by the state. They work in a plethora of industries, with the average salary of Imperian Rubles listed on NS being roughly the average Imperian salary. This salary is used to purchase many things, from a few basic necessities to luxuries and other things. The average work day is 6 hours, 9 to 3, and workers receive 3 weeks and 5 days worth of vacation time a year.

HEALTHCARE
As with other things, healthcare is nationalized and taken care of by the state. Imperian healthcare is well renowned as some of the best, if not the best, in the world. Care is provided as soon as it is needed, with minimal wait times due to a large amount of doctors.

RECREATION
Imperians have plenty of time for recreation, due to their shortened work days. This gives them time to relax and due a number of things, such as watch TV, play video games, etc. Hollywood, the center of the Imperian industry, has international renown for its films. There is no shortage of free time in the nation.

EDUCATION
Imperian education is some of the best in the world. It’s universities maintain international renown, with foreign students on visas a common sight. The nation specializes in science and engineering, with a strong focus on Aerospace, military, and atomic science. Students from kindergarten to college recieve large amounts of hands on experiences to prepare them for careers in the Imperian economy. The nation prides itself on maintaining strong work-relaxation balances for its students, with homework kept to a minimum and standardized testing being seldom seen, maybe once every other grade.
