Second Thegye Summer Tourney Event FINALS!

The final day of the tournament begins! Crowds flock to the tournament ring outside the castle, just to the north of the city. All around, banners, streamers, and colorful flags flap in the wind. Adults and children alike speak in excited tones, each one looking forward to the event to come. The finals for both the defeated and regular brackets would be held today. Jugglers, musicians, and jesters roam the streets, creating an air of jolliness and gaiety. From the taverns, shouts and songs can be heard from the early partyers, getting their fill of the cheap beer. At the ring itself, already the seats have begun to fill up, and the guests of honor begin to arrive. Soon, only standing room will be left for the onlookers. The trumpets sound the royal fanfare as the Diarchs make their way to their thrones. Seated, the Diarchs extend their hands and signal the beginning of the final day of fights. Let the best warrior win!

GWYNDAF REES vs. CADOG RHYS vs. THÉO BERNHARDT

The three warriors enter the ring to loud cheering and applause. On the left, Gwyndaf Rees, holding his sword and wearing his famous kilt, leers at the other contestants. Cadog Rhys, standing proudly, bangs his spear against his shield. Theo Bernhardt, standing a good deal taller and broader than his two opponents, simply hefts his blade and stabs the point into the ground. Each makes his way before the royal platform and bows deeply to the Diarchs. Then, at the signal of the referee, the fight begins.

The three contestants circle around. Finally, Cadog rushes forward and swings his spear in a wide motion, slamming into both of his opponents and slightly winding them. Attacking again, Cadog uses both his shield and his spear to wound Gwyndaf and Theo. Shoving Gwyndaf back with his shield, Cadog speared Theo in the side. Stumbling back, he was blindsided by Gwyndaf's blow, slicing across his arm and chest. Falling back onto the ground, Theo lost his grip on his sword and found himself with a face full of Cadog's boot. Distracted by the fallen Theo, Cadog doesn't notice Gwyndaf sneaking up behind him and slashing down his back. Thrown forward by the blow, Cadog barely has time to roll over and raise his sheild to deflect the incoming blow from Gwyndaf. Kicking up and back, Cadog knocked Gwyndaf back onto his back. Before he could thrust down, however, Gwyndaf struck hard at his legs, slicing into Cadog's calf. Raoring in anger, he speared down at Gwyndaf, piercing his neck and pinning him to the ground with his spear. Cadog Rhys from Gwragedd wins, defeating Théo Bernhardt from Arydland and Gwyndaf Rees from Sebero sree!

As the match ends, the Diarchs rise to cheers and applause by the crowd. Below them, in the ring Cadog Rhys stands, victorious. The Diarchs raise their hands. "This warrior has shown great prowess and skill against the best warriors our world has to offer! Let it be known that Cadog Rhys is the new Champion of Thegye!" The crowd roars in approval and Cadog is lifted on the shoulders of enthusiastic fans.[/b]
