A Hatchet Buried

I never had any desire to end up in a fist fight with the NPO. Yes, it is true this random backwater region I had basically never used had anti-NPO propaganda. That was originally created as a joke to show to someone during the NLO coup. IIRC, I got this region back from DEN and put it back up because that's the 'theme' I still had a copy of and wanted it to be clear to the mods that I was the same person who had owned it prior to DEN refounding it. You will recall we weren't supposed to found regions that had been taken by DEN, and, again, subject to the limits of my memory I was allowed this region only because it could be shown I was the one that had it originally. I think that was what was in my mind when I put it back up... Not sure...

Whatever the story, in my mind, I had no beef with NPO. In fact, my main dislike with NLO was the ties to the PRL of which my feeling was well and often documented in the GP forum. I'm not particularly interested in the feeders at all, my views on that are also fairly well documented. So, the only thing in this whole matter that I will sincerely apologize for is that original theme that Perg saw which started the whole thing. I wish I hadn't just left it up out of laziness, I truly wish that. As far as I remember, that's all it was.

Nonetheless, what Perg did was significant overkill. A simple telegram would have fixed the issue, as I would have happily taken it down. In typical NS form, Perg wanted a reason to use his hammer so he went out hunting nails. From my standpoint, he took a small slight and threw a first punch and tried to make it as personal as he could. IMO, that earned everything that eventually came back. I may be old and sleepy, but I still know how to set the conditions for a powder keg, and despite everyone saying it was pointless... Anyway, I don't apologize for anything that happened after that point, I fought to even the score and I feel like I did.

So, I'm good. I was slighted, I got my just deserts. I see no reason to be particularly interested in the current NPO. I hope they feel the same about Pacifica.
