Resolution at vote: Repeal: "Supporting and Valuing the Humanities"
Forum voting thread: https://forums.europeians.com/index.php?threads/ga-repeal-supporting-and-valuing-the-humanities.10052611/
Vote recommendation: FOR
original resolution states that "if incorrect use of funds is reported,
the GAO will cease the allowance of funds to the transgressing nation or
organisation," which is phrased in a way that suggests all funds from
the World Assembly will be stopped upon the mere reporting of incorrect
use of funds, giving the GAO no discretion on whether a report is false.
Furthermore, from a roleplay perspective, this resolution would pay for
programs that "are only tangentially related to its objectives," which
would waste General Assembly funds that are donations from individual
nations. Although the Ministry supported the original resolution when it
was at vote in June, compelling evidence has emerged from this repeal
that has convinced the Ministry to change its position. Therefore, the
Ministry recommends a vote FOR the repeal.

As usual, please consider endorsing Delegate Aexnidaral, if you have not already done so. The more endorsements, the more votes Europeia has, and the stronger our voice in the World Assembly is!
