Labyrinthian RP Rules, Vol.3

Hi Y'all, being the New Secretary of Cultural Affairs (SoCA), I have taken it upon myself to write some new rules for the Labyrinthian RP. The rules written by King Minos and Swift still apply as this is just an extension of the law rather than an overthrow of the previous laws. To see their rules, click Here for Minos' laws and Here for Swift's laws. I also recommend you read This Law and This Law as well. Without further ado, here are the new laws regarding the RP.

1. From now on, you must have clear IC reasoning for actions taken by your nation. The CoSA will void any post or event that has poor IC reasoning or is otherwise in bad faith. Reasons like "I want land" are banned along with OOC reasonings like "He called me a poopyhead over discord". I still encourage you to use discord to organize within the RP but do not use the discord to RP.

2. Post length has been extended to four sentences. No exceptions. Along with this, posts must be within a narrative format to be considered IC. For this context, a narrative format means Roleplaying as characters within the nation rather than just the nation itself. (For example, instead of 'The King goes to war with another Nation', it's 'The King stands up and looks at his court. "We're going to war with another nation," he says.')

3. Sequences of actions that take place within less than a year should be included within the same post, with time skips pointed out when necessary. You may not post 'The ships will be here in five minutes' then announce their arrival five real minutes later.

4. Population may not exceed 5 million people per square your nation holds. This does not include your capital region, which is allowed to have 7.5 million, and land over 1000 km away from your capital separated by the ocean, which can only have 2.5 million. Colonies, which are tiles granted with special permission from the SoCA, may only have a maximum population of 50,000 unless otherwise given permission to gain more.

5. Only 2% of your nation may be in the military when you are fighting a war. This does not include if your nation is being invaded. If your nation is being invaded, I will allow 4%. However, your recruitment must go back to 2% once all of an enemy force is kicked out

6. The Year (as of 9/18/2020) is 1886. Technology more advanced than tech available in 1886 is not allowed. Similarly, ideologies that would not exist until the 1900s (such as fascism) are not allowed.

7. While this RP is supposed to be fun, it's not fun when nations are being unrealistic and giving themselves an unfair advantage. Should the SoCA find that your post is unrealistic and harmful to the RP, it will be voided.

8. Squares more than 700km from your capital cost 2 points to claim, with the cost increasing per 700 KM. This does not apply to nations that have claimed land before the 18th of September but will apply to claims afterward. Along with this, treaties are to have a maximum of one square taken, and capitals cannot be taken unless the nation has no other square.

9. Those who consistently break the above rules will be punished, ranging from a vacation from the RP to being banned from the RP altogether. However, these punishments will only happen if you break a lot of rules. Don't worry too much.

10. A New Roleplay Moderation division will be founded. These moderators will stop disputes and help people grow as an RPer. I already have a few moderators in mind, but if you're interested, please TG me with your main nation's name, when you're active (in Central Standard Time) and an example of your RP posting skills.

Alright, now on to something fun! I am allowing nations to add upwards of two cities to each of their squares on the map. These cities will be purely aesthetical, but if you want to do that, you can do it. Otherwise, that is all. While these rules may be considered strict, I do hope that I will prove to be a fun SoCA who will make the Labyrinth RP a fun time for all.
