Church of Cascadia

Introduction

History
The Church of Cascadia was formed shortly after the formation of the Western Cascadian Union in 2501. It was formed by Saint Henry under the supervision of Michael Graham, and was formed from many Lutheran clergy who were persecuted by the City State of Seattle. (TBD)

Beliefs
The beliefs of the Church of Cascadia are heavily based on that of Christian Identitarianism and Lutheranism. They hold that salvation is not a thing that is ever 'earned,' but is a gift from God, and the only way to accept this gift is to accept the Bible as the one word of truth. In other words, they ascribe to Sola Scriptura. Further, they hold a Catholic-like mass, hold holy communions, and has three sacraments; the Holy Baptism, Holy Eucharist and Holy Absolution. Finally, they ascribe to Christian Identitarianism in a sense. They believe that many of the Europeans are part of the Lost Tribes of Israel, and therefore are God's chosen, however they define God's chosen people differently from how many others do. They instead define being God's chosen as in those who are destined to spread the religion to other races and ethnic groups across the World.

Reformed vs Orthodox

Saints & Martyrs
The Church of Cascadia has its own set of saints & martyrs. Many of them are American figures, many are figures from the protestant reformation, but most are ones that were also canonized by the Lutherans. Some of the new saints include Washington, Jefferson, Adams, and Henry. Many of these additional saints were not added until after Saint Henry's death in 2542.
