You should familiarize yourself with how Montealba works.

Through a long-developed tradition, you and your nation are separate things in most Nationstates regions. So stuff like your nation's stats doesn't hold any importance region-wide. Instead, you as the player interact with the region as an individual. For example one player is a citizen somewhere and another player is a senator somewhere else, but none of these posts are related to their nations; just the region they reside in.

However, there is usually an exception to this and that is when roleplay games are held. Those often come with a map on which you can claim territory for your nation and then you play against other players.

Montealba is a semi-constitutional monarchy.

Residents can become citizens of the region, which allows them to vote and run for office. These offices are the ministers of foreign affairs, social affairs and of the interior; the drabants (police) and the judge seat.

Exceptional citizens can become noble voivodes. A voivode is equivalent to a warlord. They hold land on the official map of Montealba.

The prince, chancellor, voivodes and ministers of Montealba meet in the parliament, which we call the Snem.

We have an a national militia called Hocherlan's Tigers, which works as our (joinable) army.

The first and foremost thing you should keep is mind is not to be afraid! We were all new nations at one point.

You should probably try to become a citizen. To do that, you need to keep your main nation here for three days and then ask the current minister of the interior to admit you as a citizen. He might give you some tests if he's in a bad mood.

Afterwards, you should find a job, with which the ministry of social affairs could help you with. You may now also vote and run office, as mentioned.

You should also join our Discord, as that's the fastest way to get involved with everyone, including the government. Click here, it's the link to it

Our culture

You should expect that most of the time, we're not really being serious.

We have a common Montealban lore which was created through collective sh*tposting. Everyone is welcome to contribute, though they should probably catch up a little bit first.

The most important bits you should know are that we are divided into soda-ethnicities (depends on your favourite soda brand), we worship our late captain [nation]Hocherlan[/nation], the capital is called Stuyevka and [region]Kaiserreich[/region] is cringe. We also grant asylum to foreign criminals and don't extradite.

Our aesthetics are generally based on Montenegro, the Yugoslav Wars and Chechnya.
