The Maharaja Addresses Aeraven Post South Reuz Attacks
Citizens of this nation of Aeraven, my brothers and sisters, friends and family, today I stand in front of you with a heavy heart and disturbing visuals of last night in my mind. What we witnessed yesterday has shook each and every Aeravanese in the world who has worked day and night to see this country reach new milestones and achieve wonderous heights, so we can make our place in the world and let it constantly rise above the rest. Last night was not a mistake, it was an intentional act of hate; a warning perhaps, to express disagreement towards certain laws your government has established for you. There was chaos, there was the spread of terror, but most importantly there was loss of life. In a notorious and heinous crime committed in Fantaschia Mall, in South Reuz, we lost 15 of our Aeravanese brothers and sisters. Some of our brave Aeravenese' continue to fight for their lives in a nearby medical facility, leaving their families terrified and anxious of their future.It is certainly not possible for each and every citizen of Aeraven to be satisfied with the functions and changes of the system. But at every step we take, we strive to work towards the welfare of our populace, to do the very best of our efforts in ensuring the comfort and happiness of those that chose us; that believed in us enough, believed that we were good enough to represent them. And we give you the liberty to talk to us, and express your discomforts to us, so we can serve you better. But actions like this are saddening, and make us feel like we have failed you. Like somewhere you felt you couldn't communicate with us, and had to resort to such actions.
Incidents like these leave a permanent stain on the being of a country and the day becomes a reminder of the horror, hovering over all the better and beautiful things like a dark shadow. No leader wants to see their people being victims to such crimes, to lose loved ones to the frustration of someone else, to wake up each day fearful if they'll see the dusk, the moon and the stars at the end of it. Every action of ours is and will always be aimed towards your safety.
My condolences go out to each and every courageous Aeravenese soul affected in this living nightmare, and I, along with my party will come to you stronger henceforth, and leave no stone unturned to protect my people, the pride of this country. The families of those affected will be met and compensated in the most suitable manner possible, and our fallen brothers and sisters will be respectfully cremated in the Reuz State Crematorium, early evening tomorrow. Although this day will and can never be forgotten, I hope it will be remembered as an example of the strength of this wonderful nation and its people that never back down, but stand in the face of danger to show that real power lies in the morals and beliefs of man, and not in his physical strength or ability to hurt others.
