The Russoman Species (unfinished)

Supreme Leader Hovi

Hovi is the Supreme Leader of the
Russomani who are the remnants of
the long dead Gyelidorian Empire,
which was destroyed in the Great
Galactic War. Captaining the Aftermath,
him and his 250,000 strong crew were
forced to flee to the Unknown Regions,
eventually finding the Sol system where
they would establish a more permanent
home.

The Russoman Species

Biology
The Russomani people are bear-like people built similar to humans in terms of bone structure with obvious key differences which makes them distinct from Humans, and also differences in both abilities and behavior that makes them unlike regular bears. Standing at 3 meters in height regardless of gender, and weighing between 2,000 to 2,500 pounds on average. Equipped with very powerful bodies the Russomani are capable of lifting and moving well in excess of 800 kgs with ease, and can move at speeds up to 40 mph regardless of the conditions.

Reproduction and Lifecycle
Russomans reproduce just like humans. Pregnancy lasts for 18 months. Russomans physically and mentally mature at quicker rates than humans do and at 10 years of age they are considered adults and can take on responsibilities, after they are fully grown their ageing process begins to slow down and they start to age similar to regular humans, with the average lifespan of Russomans being 120 years.

Diets, Health, and Nutrition
Russomans are Omnivores but they prefer to eat meat (especially fish), berries, and honey. They have a 20,000 daily calory intake limit and a very strong stomach allowing them to eat and digest just about anything. They require the same proteins and vitamins as humans, but their bodies also produces alot of the proteins it needs on its own. Before hibernation they become extremely aggressive towards each other and other species, eating as much as possible to pack on weight for winter. During hibernation they do not eat, drink, or defecate and they do not lose bone or muscle mass while they sleep.
