2024 Mankisi Election

After the tragic death of Mokonzi H.D. Casement, a Tatalia-Nkisian national hero, the first and, so far, the only Mankisi, it was time for the next, sudden election. The vote was held on Sunday, 24th of March. The candidates were as follow:

- Na'sinka Bosem'bo, a long-term Lo'bok'o Ya Mo'bali during the rule of Mokonzi H.D. Casement. Non-partisan candidate,

- A'na Mel'sele, current Mo'to of Ma'bansa Ma'lasa, Forward, Tatalia! party candidate,

- M'basi N'po'ma, a professor of the Ma'bansa N'kisi University with a PhD in political science, Libertarian Party candidate,

- Ya'no Nso'na, a political activist, Social Alternative party candidate,

- Kie'mia L'bente, a military expert, Green Order party candidate,

- Nasem'bi Mo'nti'ma, Mo'to of the Na'ramba region, Rural Alliance party candidate.

The results od the 1st round were announced on the following day. The two candidates with the most support, M'basi N'po'ma (27%) and Na'sinka Bosem'bo (24%), qualified for the next round. They were followed by Nasem'bi Mo'nti'ma (19%), A'na Mel'sele (16%), Ya'no Nso'na (10%), and Kie'mia L'bente (4%).

The 2nd round was held on the Tuesday, 27nd of March. The results are in: M'basi N'po'ma became the new Mankisi, winning 54% of the vote.
