GENERAL:
Kindly take the time to read through this guide carefully to avoid unnecessary queries.
We do not use an external forum. All in-character roleplay occurs either on the RMB or via Discord.

Discord server. Creating factbooks and dispatches is encouraged for the purposes of nationbuilding and roleplay. Submissions in a wiki-style format are particularly welcome.
Application forms may be introduced at a later stage, should the need arise.
CLAIMING:
Claiming land on the World of NationStates Map is straightforward and swift.
For your initial claim, please include a brief alternate history or explanation outlining your rationale for choosing a specific area. Be sure to mention the name of your capital city.
Your initial claim may encompass up to 30 provinces on the map.
If you are absent or inactive for more than 14 days without prior notification to the founder, your nation may be removed from the map.
When submitting an expansion claim, include a short alternate history or roleplay-driven explanation describing how and why you are expanding.
Each expansion claim may include up to 3 additional provinces.
The total size of any nation may not exceed 150 provinces.
Should you wish to entirely revise your territorial claim, you must submit a new initial claim.
The combined territorial size of all puppet states may not exceed 25 provinces in total (this is the total for both, not each puppet state).
Puppet states are not permitted to expand.
On the map, puppet states will be marked in a different colour from the main nation
ROLEPLAY:
When composing your nations factbooks and historical accounts, please bear in mind that the world of NationStates is an alternate-history setting, established in the year 2085.
Wikipedia serves as an excellent reference for your statistics, data, and broader lore.
No fantasy or advanced science fiction is permitted! Cyberpunk, Solarpunk and realistic spaceflight scenarios are highly welcome!
Your military statistics must reflect realistic figures and consequences. Remember: the larger your armed forces, the greater the financial burden and the more your population will have to endure.
REGIONAL GOVERNMENT:
The democratically elected regional government grants its ministers considerable autonomy in decisions pertaining to their respective departments.

Successor/Chancellor is 
Pruszia, designated to assume leadership in the event the founder ceases to exist (CTE).
Regional Cartographer is World of nationstates. The Cartographer is an appointed - not elected - position and holds authority over all matters concerning territorial claims.
Once the region comprises more than five independent main nations, elections shall be held. Until that threshold is reached, ministers are appointed by the founder.
Elections will take place every six months.
Every nation may stand for one of the following ministries:
Master is [nation][/nation]. The Master serves as moderator of the roleplay and has authority over all matters related to it.
Recruiter is [nation][/nation]. The Recruiter is responsible for bringing new nations into the region.
Marshal is [nation][/nation]. The Marshal moderates the Regional Message Board (RMB) and oversees regional security.
In cases of dispute or complaint, any minister may contact the founder to seek a decision or mediation.
