Vote FOR Repeal: "Civilian Air Compact"
Official Recommendation of the Ministry of WA Affairs
Vote FOR Repeal: "Civilian Air Compact" - Here
Category: RepealTarget: GAR #752, Civilian Air CompactAuthor: Bisofeyri World Assembly Mission
Rationale & Analysis
We admit to being unimpressed by this repeal; while it does raise genuine points, most crucially, the failure to restrict Clause IV to only civilian aircraft, - potentially resulting in harmful breaches of military command structure, - others of concern seem to be missed. Notably, the proposal fails to define a 'conflict zone', allowing Member-States to define it to their convenience, and very possibly to civilian detriment. Nonetheless, these flaws do exist, and while the rest of the argumentation is unpersuasive, it will be better to have this law off the books. As such, the Ministry of World Assembly Affairs has directed Kethania to vote FOR Repeal: "Civilian Air Compact, and urges the Bloc's World Assembly nations to do the same. |
