KQT TRIBUNE — EDT. 1

Editor's notes: Good greetings to all the readers out there, this is KQT here. I've kickstarted this... blog, shall I say, of sorts, for no good reason. I felt like it would be something fun to do, if that makes sense. I plan for this to mainly be about my music, sometimes about other things too, frankly I'm not sure. It's just a fun little thing I'd like to do, honestly. Perhaps I could show off my poetry, or practice for writing my English essays here or something of the sorts. I still have zero clue what to do with this. Well, without much else to do, let's kickstart the paper, shall we?
by KQT
a haunting poem about neglect, family dynamics, self-worth and jealousy
stanza 1
i'm always forgotten. fading into the darkness
grew bigger and stronger to be noticed
always out of my reach
stanza 2
stridently walking home each day
a smile on my face. i greet my caretakers
my words fall on deaf ears
still out of my reach
stanza 3
seventeen awards in the cupboard
my pride and my joy, yet
not even bothered to be displayed
their shame and their dismay
brothers and sisters get their recognition
spelling bee runner-up, new highest mark
laughable compared to what i have achieved, yet
i am still jealous of them, parent's attention
still out of my reach
stanza 4
perhaps i tried too hard
perhaps i took it too deep in my heart
perhaps i should have known
that myself is all i'll ever own
why do my parents never love me? that is the question
my comprehension of the situation
still out of my reach
Editor's notes: Hope you enjoyed reading the poem. Or shed a tear. Or felt bad. I don't know, ChatGPT says it's heartbreaking and touching and all that, but I don't know for sure. TG me what you think of it, with brutal honesty and/or feedback if you wish. Frankly, it was something I wrote for fun, like a random thought popped into my mind and kickstarted the idea for the whole poem. I also wrote this during class, just after finishing my literature exam. I hate literature, how ironic. I had some help to get the idea to write the fourth stanza, but other than that, it was written in one sitting. Again, please give me your opinion on it by telegramming me. (And please mention that it's about this poem, yeah?)
Editor's notes: Yes, you heard me right, I'm working on a new mixtape. After the (debatable) success of 'me.', my debut mixtape, and its expanded version, I'm working on a new one. I'm not going to leak much, but it's been in the works for about a month. I admit, I'm having a bit of burnout, and being in the middle of exam season, work is slowing down, but rest assured I'm still working on the songs. 11 out of the 16 songs on the mixtape have at least some progress done on them. Hopefully this can drop by June or July, depends on how fast I work. The tracklist will still be kept under wraps, but I will give you the placements for the singles. In order:
2. ~???~
3. ~three hundred lines~ (single)
4. ~??? | ft. ???~
5. ~??? | ft. ???, ???, ???~
6. ~???~
7. ~??? | ft. ???~
8. ~???~
9. ~??? | ft. ???~
10. ~a ridiculously long freewrite~ (single)
11. ~??? | ft. ???~
12. ~???~
13. ~???, ft. ???~
14. ~???, ft. ???~
15. ~???~
16. ~???, ft. ???~ (bonus)
Editor's notes: Sure is a lot of features. The highlighted ones are those that have zero progress on them, so I'll be working on them. Unfortunately, none of the songs have been fully completed, either because I don't know what to write about or I'm waiting on people to give their verses. I swear, this will definitely be better than 'me.'. The state of my rapping has definitely improved compared to last year. Don't worry, I'll notify you when one of the singles, or both of them, release. I'll provide links, too. Anyway, that's all the news I'll share about the mixtape. Perhaps I'll sneak a short snippet if enough people request for it.
Here's the link to my debut album,
and to my account.Editor's notes: This is the first edition, so I don't really have a lot to write about. I could perhaps try to write more in Edition 2? I'm not sure, but I at least hope you were amused by what I wrote. Maybe you didn't even read the whole thing, skimmed it until you reached here. Any support's appreciated, honestly. Upvote this dispatch, distribute it, I don't know.
