🏭 Humble Beginnings (1961–1979)
Volstra was born in the heart of post-war industrial recovery. Its founder, Heinrich Vollmer, a visionary engineer and former aircraft mechanic, believed Demokratienbund Sonnenhain could build cars as powerful and enduring as its people.

In 1961, using funding from the Sonnenhainische Zentralbank (SZB) and government reconstruction bonds, Vollmer opened a modest factory outside Neustadt. The first model, the Volstra Typ 1 “Brise”, was a small, efficient sedan built for the working class. It quickly became a national symbol of reliability and self-reliance.

🚗 The Golden Years (1980–1999)
By the 1980s, Volstra had become a household name across Sonnenhain. With a reputation for durability and clean design, Volstra began exporting to neighboring regions under the slogan:
“Engineered for Endurance, Designed for You.”

Key releases included:

Volstra Stormer GT (1984) – the brand’s first sports coupe

Volstra Freimann (1992) – a luxury sedan for diplomats and executives

⚡ Innovation and Expansion (2000–2020)
Responding to the global shift toward sustainability, Volstra launched its first hybrid-electric car, the Volstra E-Lux, in 2011. Investments in green technology and robotics turned Volstra into one of Sonnenhain’s most advanced manufacturers.
